The Best Use of Your Disney Dining Plan Snack Credits at the EPCOT Festival of the Arts

We came, we saw, and… we LOVED the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts!

Festival of the Arts

Everything was so colorful and fun on the first day of the festival. We enjoyed the entertainment, the chalk art, the paint-by-number mural, the merchandise, and of course the FOOD! We stopped by every single food booth at the festival to find out the good, the bad, and the ugly. We found our favorites, of course, but we also found which items are the BEST for using your brand-new Disney Dining Plan.

It’s so exciting to be able to talk about the Disney Dining Plan, again! We have gone so long without it, we almost forgot how great it can be. As of January 9th, you can use your Dining Plan credits to pay for meals, snacks, and drinks anywhere they are accepted. And one of the places happens to be at the EPCOT festivals!

Festival of the Arts

Not every booth accepts the Dining Plan, but several do. As we stopped by each booth, we took note of which high-priced items accept a snack credit and are, therefore, most worth it to use your credits. We have come up with a list of the five most expensive items at the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts that can be bought with a Dining Plan snack credit! Oh, and we’ve included a little review of each, too.

Funnel Cakes Stand Menu (peep the DDP symbol!)

Festival Funnel Cake $12 — Funnel Cake Stand

We wanted to be mad at this dessert, but after we found out you can use a snack credit, it was hard to be.

Crazy Chocolate Funnel Cake Sandwich

This funnel cake sandwich turned out to be really good. It’s small but mighty. Normally. we wouldn’t recommend paying so much for something so small, but since you can use a snack credit, we say “Go for it!” It’s like a chocolate crispies cereal.

General Tso’s Chicken Shumai $10.75 — The Painted Panda

General Tso’s Chicken Shumai

We really enjoyed this dish! It was our favorite at this booth. The dumplings are filled with chicken that has great flavor and just enough heat to make it delicious. We wouldn’t call the whole meal spicy, though. Using a snack credit on these would be a great choice.

Carne Asada $10.50 — El Artista Hambriento

This booth was one of our favorites, easily.

Carne Asada

You know we love cheese, so we adored this item. The beef sirloin was very tender, but we loved the grilled queso fresco. It was easily the best part of the meal. For this price, we would totally use a snack credit for it.

Roasted Bone Marrow $10.50 — Gourmet Landscapes

You may have never thought you would eat bone marrow in a theme park.

But if you’re looking to be adventurous, a snack credit to purchase this could be a great way to not regret it if you don’t like it. Our reporter was surprised in a good way by the flavors in the dish, so maybe you’ll have to give it a shot!

Crème de Brie en Petit Pain $9.95 — L’Art de la Cuisine Francaise

This is one of our favorites every year at this festival.

Crème de Brie en Petit Pain

It’s warm, ooey, gooey cheese inside a house-made bread bowl — you can’t go wrong. Using a snack credit for some phenomenal cheese and warm bread sounds like a great idea to us.

Wagyu Bun $9.75 — Goshiki

The Wagyu Bun is new to the festival this year!

Wagyu Bun

It’s a steamed bun filled with American wagyu beef served with green shiso sauce. If you like the Satu’li Canteen cheeseburger pods, then you’re going to want to spend a snack credit on this! Our reporter said she likes it even more than the pods in Animal Kingdom.

Wild Mushroom Risotto $9.75 — Gourmet Landscapes

The Wild Mushroom Risotto made our Best of the Fest list, and for that simple reason alone, you should use a snack credit on it.

Wild Mushroom Risotto

This plant-based dish has amazing flavors and was easily the best part of this booth for us. You don’t have to be vegan to appreciate this delicious option.

If you’re hoping to use a snack credit on any items at the festival (or anywhere else, for that matter), be sure to check the menu for the DDP symbol. If it’s there, you’re good to go!
