26 Photos & Videos From Our Day In Disney World!

We’re back at Disney World today!

Cinderella Castle

And we’ve been taking in all the sights, sounds, merchandise, and more! We took a ton of photos and videos to bring you along with us! So let’s go!

Magic Kingdom

One of our reporters started the morning at Magic Kingdom. There’s just something special about the sound the MagicBand scanners make when you enter the park. That’s the sound of happiness, isn’t it?

Hello, Main Street, U.S.A.! If you could hear a photo, you would totally be hearing that Magic Kingdom entrance music right now!

Main Street, U.S.A.

We thought it might be cool to do a time lapse video of Main Street, U.S.A., too. A little fast forward through our day, which included the Goofy Cavalcade!

Although we had just arrived, it was already time for a character cavalcade! And it was Tinker Bell!!! How’s it going, Tink?

All that fairy dust comes courtesy of a man and a mouse, and we’ll never get tired of being reminded of it!

Seeing Tinker Bell totally put us in the mood for Fantasyland, so that’s where we headed next. Coming through, people! Coming through!

Then we ran into some WICKED old friends, the Stepsisters from Cinderella! They are so much fun! (Sorry, Cindy — we just really like your sisters).

They were even kind enough to pose for us! Doesn’t Anastasia look simply lovely?

Anastasia

And Drizella is just being herself! You go, girl!

Drizella

Talking to the sisters had us thinking we were ready to go off on an adventure…so we headed to Adventureland!

Adventureland!

While we’re at it, here’s a tip for some shaded seating AND where to find a Hidden Mickey!

Speaking of adventure, we ran into a pirate, and well, he’s kinda’ famous. It’s Captain Jack Sparrow! Where’s the rum?

Captain Jack Sparrow

Apparently, he’s been busy writing letters and smouldering to his adoring fans!

Letter from Captain Jack Sparrow

We think we’re just going to head over to Frontierland now and watch people get soaked on Splash Mountain. Everybody’s got a laughing place…and this is ours!

On to Tomorrowland, but we totally took a moment to appreciate Cinderella Castle — again!

Cinderella Castle from Tomorrowland

Let’s take a moment to appreciate how awesome these guys because they literally make art out of water!

We can barely draw Mickey with a pen and paper, so this is like some kind of extra Disney magic, right? On our way out we got to say hello to some friends from the Hundred Acre Wood.

Hiya friends! And just like that, our day at Magic Kingdom was over, but luckily we had another reporter in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

30 Hidden Secrets in Magic Kingdom

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Another reporter headed over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Those old-school Hollywood vibes get us every time!

We got to say hello to some old friends, Chip ‘n’ Dale! We love those chipmunks! They always make us smile.

We headed straight to Toy Story Land! It’s so much fun being a toy in Andy’s back yard!

Toy Story Land

We watched people whizzing by us on Slinky Dog Dash!

Over in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, a Stormtrooper was eyeing us like he thought we might be with the Resistance. If we are, we’re not telling!

Stormtrooper

Seriously, we love all the little details spread throughout Batuu. Always remember to look down when you’re walking around Disney World, because we spotted the GNK Power Droid footprints!

By the time we realized, it was late in the day and we needed a pick-me-up. So we headed over to Trolley Car Cafe for a little caffeine-induced joy!

Coffee is pretty much the only way to begin AND end a day at Disney World, don’t you think? And we hope you enjoyed coming along with us. We’ll be back soon with even more photos and videos!

This Might Be The Sweetest Video You’ll EVER See From Disney World!

More Moderate Crowds – Disney World Wait Times for Sunday, January 31, 2021

Sunday saw more moderate crowds across Walt Disney World, with all four parks’ average posted wait times in the bottom half of the past month’s numbers.  It looks like many of our Lines community were in the Magic Kingdom today – we got over 100 actual wait times from just that park today (and 170 actual wait times overall).

We counted 494 of 500 guests (99%) in Disney’s Hollywood Studios wearing masks according to Disney’s mask guidelines.  And in today’s installment of What Were They Thinking?, our in-park researcher ate lunch at PizzeRizzo.  Let’s do the numbers!

Magic Kingdom Wait Times

Space Mountain had an average wait time today of 27 minutes. Its 7-day average is 27 minutes, so today ranks #3 for this week. Its 30-day average is 41 minutes, so today ranks #22 for the past month. We received 11 actual wait times today, and the actual wait averaged 52% of the posted wait time.

Rise of the Resistance had a couple of delays today in calling boarding groups, after a fabulous day of operations yesterday.  The first delay Rise of the Resistance had in calling boarding groups was around 12:30 p.m. and boarding group 65.  That delay lasted around 40 minutes.  There was another slight delay around boarding group 87 at 2:20 p.m., and that lasted about 40 minutes as well.

Rise of the Resistance is up to boarding group 127 as I write this, and there’s a good chance it’ll get above 140 before the park closes today.

What’s New at EPCOT and EPCOT Resorts: Sold Out Ratatouille Items, and Additional Seating in a Closed Restaurant!

Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at EPCOT and the EPCOT Resorts!

EPCOT

And, we’ve got plenty of updates to share with you! So, what are you waiting for? Let’s dive right on in!

EPCOT Food Update

China Pavilion

If you’re scoping out a spot to sit down and eat during EPCOT’s lunch rush, look no further! You might spot some twisting lines out front of the Lotus Blossom restaurant…

Lotus Blossom Lines

…but the seating inside the quick-service location is limited to a few tables.

Lotus Blossom Seating

Don’t worry, though, friends! Near the restrooms, you’ll be able to find a door leading to additional seating inside the Japan Pavilion’s Nine Dragons Restaurant!

Additional Seating Sign

The dining room is open with distanced tables so guests can comfortably sit with their party to eat and drink…

Nine Dragons Seating

…or take a quick snack break away from the hustle and bustle of the park!

Nine Dragons Seating

It’s important to note that the entrance to the Nine Dragons is still closed off at this time to guests, so you will need to go through the Lotus Blossom Cafe to access the seating indoors.

Nine Dragons Seating

It was SUPER empty on our visit, so this is a great place to escape EPCOT crowds!

Another Restaurant Has Reopened in Disney World…But Not In the Way You Might Think!

EPCOT Merchandise Update

France Pavilion

After that surprising early release of all that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure merchandise, it wasn’t too much of a shocker that the items disappeared off the shelves just as quickly as they appeared. A whole lot of the merchandise has sold out (it’s a good thing we picked up our own plush Remy), and the only items remaining are the adult striped tees and a few kids’ hoodies.

Ratatouille Merchandise

On the shelves that were previously filled with Ratatouille merchandise, other French items and Beauty and the Beast toys and costumes have been placed there instead!

France Merchandise

We’ll let you know if they restock the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure merchandise!

PHOTOS! Check Out Remy’s Adventures Around the World in EPCOT

Germany Pavilion

We’ve previously seen the green Oktoberfest Shirt, but the Germany Pavilion is switching things up once again with the new blue version of the ladies tee! The top has puffed sleeves and mimics the ruffles and corset of an Oktoberfest dress on the front…

Ladies German Shirt

…and a vine pattern, Mickey heads, and Germany logo on the back for $36.99.

Ladies German Shirt

It was a bit random spotting this in January, but hey, we’ll celebrate Oktoberfest year round!

See photos of the green Oktoberfest shirt in the Germany pavilion

Mouse Gear

The Partners Statue might be in the Magic Kingdom, but you can find the Castle Silhouette Tee over in EPCOT’s Mouse Gear! The blue shirt features Mickey and Walt with a simple Cinderella Castle behind them and the Walt Disney World logo for $24.99.

Castle Silhouette Shirt

Meanwhile, the store is also celebrating graduates with the 2021 Mickey Graduation Ears

2021 Graduation Ears

…that show off the “Class of 2021” logo etched onto the side.

2021 Graduation Ears

These ears are $29.99.

EPCOT Construction Update

Harmonious

As EPCOT continues construction on all of its upcoming projects, the Harmonious barges have continued to see updates as the progress on the nighttime spectacular moves forward.

Harmonious Barge

Now that the screens have been installed, it appears as if Disney is testing them to make sure they work with numbered squares appearing on them (although they will display moments from fan-favorite films during the debut of Harmonious).

See more photos of the second Harmonious Barge in EPCOT

Guardians of the Galaxy

We can hardly wait for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind to welcome guests on a trip with their favorite superheroes. Outside of the attraction, the crew has quickly began installing solar panels on the roof and plywood paneling out front.

Guardians of the Galaxy Construction

They’re moving along at a VERY speedy pace, which has us crossing our fingers we’ll be able to ride the attraction soon!

Special Effects for EPCOT’s Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster Are in Development

EPCOT Crowd Update

Since we were in EPCOT during a weekend, the crowds were busier than we had seen them earlier in the week as families and friends returned to the park.

EPCOT Crowds

Many of the Festival of the Arts kiosks and booths had longer lines due to this…

EPCOT Crowds

…while the restaurants, like the Regal Eagle Smokehouse, were also hopping with plenty of visitors.

EPCOT Crowds

Still, wait times for attractions were fairly low, probably because the big draw right now is the Festival of the Arts!

Wait Times in Disney World Significantly DROPPED This Week!

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Merchandise Update

Screen Door General Store

As we make our way around the parks, we can’t help but need a big cup of coffee and maybe a donut or two to bring with us during our adventures. And, you can take the new BoardWalk Resort Tervis Tumbler around with you filled with your favorite coffee brew for $26.99. The front features the Fab Five on a joy ride aboard a bicycle…

BoardWalk Tumbler

…with the blue and black stripes and color schemes that can be found through the BoardWalk on the back!

BoardWalk Tumbler

The Screen Door General Store also was featuring a 30% off sale on Lily Pulitzer, Tommy Bahama, Vineyard Vines, and Kahala brands

BoardWalk Merchandise Sale

…that includes dresses, button downs, jackets, and more!

BoardWalk Merchandise Sale

We’ve seen this sale in other shops that offer these items, too!

Disney’s Beach Club Merchandise Update

Beach Club Marketplace

Over at the Beach Club Marketplace, there were a few accessories you could pair with your new clothes like the Donut Minnie Ears

Donut Minnie Ears

…and another way to drink your coffee with the yellow Retro Walt Disney World Mug for $14.99.

Retro Disney World Mug

We’ve seen the Donut Ears and Mug in other locations in Disney World, but it’s nice to know you can grab these at Disney’s Beach Club Resort as well!

NEW Drinkware at Disney World is All About Mickey!

Well, that’s all for this What’s New at EPCOT and the EPCOT Resorts! We’ll catch you next time for more updates. And, if you have any questions about how your Disney vacation might look different, let us know so we can help you find the answers!

This Might Be The Sweetest Video You’ll EVER See From Disney World!

Dogs really are a man’s best friend, and we’re pretty sure Mickey and Pluto would agree with us!

Mickey and Pluto at Garden Grill Restaurant

Disney knows exactly how much we love our doggos, which is why we now have Disney dog dresses, MagicBands, spirit jerseys, and other pet merchandise!

But did you know that dogs are also a duck’s best friend? Because we found the most adorable video of a service dog cuddling with Donald Duck at Disney World! Is this not the most precious thing ever? This beautiful pup is so smitten with Donald!

This video features Instagram dog @helperdognala. Even though it’s from 2019, we came across it again and had to share. It certainly brightened up our day! If we see any other cute Disney pet videos, we’ll let you know!
