Menu

Gourmet LandscapesĀ is the home of elegant comfort food. Most of the menu items and drinks are returning. Thatā€™s not necessarily a bad thing, though ā€” but are these items enough to draw you in for a visit? Letā€™s dive into the food first and find out.

Menu

Now that weā€™ve taken a look at the menu, letā€™s dive into the food itself!

Eats

Weā€™ll start with the new item at this food studio, the Verjus-roasted Beets, which cost $5.50 and are DDP snack eligible.Ā

This dish comes with goat cheese, petite lettuce, blackberry gastrique, and spiced pecans. It is gluten/wheat friendly, a plant-based item, and is part of the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine Item. The Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine is essentially a food challenge where if you buy 5 of the 7 participating items, you can get a FREE prize.

Verjus-roasted Beets with goat cheese, petite lettuce, blackberry gastrique, and spiced pecans

We thought the beets were a little briny and almost had a pickled taste. The gastrique added a very interesting flavor that made the whole dish taste crafted and balanced. The tiny mushrooms brought a great, rich flavor as well! This dish is definitely for more adventurous eaters who love earthy flavors.

Next up is the Roasted Bone MarrowĀ for $10.50. This is also DDP snack eligible, which is a pretty good deal for a $10 snack!

The Roasted Bone Marrow is completed with onion marmalade, pickled mushrooms, and petite lettuce. Didnā€™t have roasted bone marrow on your EPCOT Bingo list, did ya?! Weā€™ve seen various versions of this dish here since 2022. In 2022, there was mache lettuce and bone marrow snow listed on the menu. But this is the same dish we experienced in 2023, so if you had it last year, you can expect a similar experience.

Roasted Bone Marrow

If you donā€™t know how to eat it, youā€™re supposed to spoon out the marrow and spread it over the bread thatā€™s served with it. We thought this was super interesting and also definitely just for adventurous eaters! The marrow starts off salty and then has a very unexpected sweet flavor as an aftertaste. Our reporter described it as an ā€œenigma,ā€ because that aftertaste was so surprising.

The final dish here is the Wild Mushroom Risotto with aged Parmesan, truffle shavings, and zinfandel reduction.Ā This one is $9.75 and also DDP snack eligible.

Wild Mushroom Risotto

This was our favorite item at this booth! Itā€™s plant-based, so that ā€œparmesanā€ is really a coconut-based ā€œcheese.ā€ The dish was salty, delicious, and earthy. Overall itā€™s a little bit chewy since thereā€™s no crunchy element, but we thought it was warm and delicious.

Drinks

Next, letā€™s dive into those drinks! First, we have the Whole Hog Brewery Raspberry ChĆ©ret Double Radler. You can get a 6oz pour for $5.75Ā or 12oz for $9.75.

You can also find aĀ Schlumberger CuvĆ©e Klimt Brut on the menu for $9. Or you can opt for The Meeker Vineyard Winemakerā€™s Handprint Merlot for $11.Ā

And finally, while here, you can get the Frozen Scotch Cocktail with Scotch and herbal tea garnished with a chocolate nail for $15.50.

Frozen Scotch Cocktail

In the past, weā€™ve seen a similar cocktail, Frozen Rusty Nail Cocktail, which was made with bourbon, tea, and topped with a chocolate nail. So this is a familiar drink with a Scotch switched in for the bourbon. Though both Scotch and bourbon are members of the whiskey family, Scotch is made with malted barley, while bourbon is made from corn and tends to be a touch sweeter.

This is a very earthy drink (we bet youā€™ve picked up on the ā€œearthyā€ trend at this booth!). The drink is also VERY strong ā€” it tasted a bit like we were drinking straight Scotch with just a dash of tea. The chocolate nail was a fun addition, but itā€™s just plain milk chocolate and doesnā€™t really change the drink.

Hereā€™s a quick warning about this cocktail: Because itā€™s frozen, if you donā€™t drink it quickly, the ice will melt and water it down.

OVERALL

Overall, Gourmet Landscapes is keeping things pretty similar in 2024 when compared to previous years. The beet dish has not been our favorite, but the bone marrow is at least very interesting. The Frozen Scotch Cocktail may not be for you if you prefer sweet and fruity drinks. But that wild mushroom risotto is DEFINITELY worth trying!

This booth is for adventurous eaters only!
