REVIEW: One EPCOT Festival of the Arts Booth Is Already Off to a Rocky Start

Back in the day, there used to be a small Starbucks location right next to the EPCOT World Showcase. These days, that building has been TRANSFORMED, and now we’re back at this little location to try some NEW EPCOT Festival of the Arts treats!

2024 Booth

The 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts has officially begun, and there is a LOT going on during the event. There are dozens of food booths with tasty items, shows and performances, souvenirs (DUH), and even an art-inspired food stroll. But with so much to explore, it can be overwhelming, so we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. And now we’re heading to one spot in particular — the Swirled Showcase — to give you the FULL scoop! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out!

Menu

Over at the Swirled Showcase, you’ll find a variety of available items. For the Festival of the Arts this year, this location is serving  Soft-serve in a Waffle Cone (both Vanilla and Chocolate), as well as a NEW flavor: Cupcake! You can also try the returning Cream Soda Float with Vanilla Soft-serve or the NEW Strawberry Fanta Float with cupcake soft-serve.

Let’s check it out!

Now that we’ve looked at the menu, let’s dive into the food!

Eats

First up, we grabbed the Cupcake Soft-serve in a Waffle Cone.

This probably won’t come as a surprise, but this soft serve melted QUICKLY. We’re not kidding when we say eat it fast. In terms of the flavor, this is a “sugary, sweet, and super neat treat,” according to our reporter. A little corny? Yes. But hey — this isn’t exactly a groundbreaking dessert. It basically tastes like cake batter ice cream, with some crunchy sprinkles mixed in for a little texture. If you like that classic (very sweet, we might add) cake batter flavor, this might be just what you’re looking for.

Now, this is where things took a turn. We had every intention of trying the new Strawberry Fanta Float with cupcake soft-serve, but Cast Members informed us that the machine was temporarily down! We’ll be sure to check back later to see if everything is up and running.

OVERALL

This is the place to go for dessert! As you can see from the menu, this booth focuses on soft serve and sweet, sugary treats. Is it the most innovative, exciting booth of the festival? Probably not. But this could be a GREAT option for little ones since the menu items are simple and easy to eat (though they may be a little messy). Our biggest complaint was that we were missing some of those menu items due to an operational issue — we’re hoping Disney is able to sort that out ASAP. That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from!
