We Visited the EXCLUSIVE NEW Tower of Terror-Themed Event in Disney World!

It’s finally time for Jollywood Nights — the brand-new holiday party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

There’s lots to see and do at the party, but right now we’re heading down Sunset Boulevard to the Tower of Terror to check out a fancy soirée.

The Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club is located in the courtyard of The Hollywood Tower Hotel (or Tower of Terror, as most people know it).

Tower of Terror

At this event, you can sip on cocktails and listen to the live band known as Rachel and the Alley Cats. They were AMAZING, by the way.

They played short sets, but the breaks were short, too. The band played about two songs at a time, so it was nice to stick around for a couple minutes to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Tip Top Club. We even caught some people dancing!

But really, most people were here for the DRINKS! We tried the Sparkling Pomegranate-Apple Cider, a pomegranate-green tea drink topped with sparkling apple cider and pomegranate seeds.

Sparkling Pomegranate-Apple Cider

It was SO refreshing! It really was a great blend of all of the flavors; we could distinctly taste the green tea, the apple, and the pomegranate. Truthfully, it tasted similar to a nonalcoholic sparkling cider — not super heavy on the alcohol. Those flavors came together quite nicely! Our only complaint was that it wasn’t as carbonated as we had hoped. We like our sparkling cider to SPARKLE, you know?

This was quite nice!

We also tried the 5th Dimension Royale cocktail, made with Teremana Blanco Tequila, Cointreau Liqueur, desert pear, agave nectar, and lime juice topped with Domaine Ste. Michelle Brut and garnished with a dehydrated blood orange wheel. Whew! There’s a lot happening with this one.

OK, this was lovely! It’s a well-balanced cocktail that leans more towards the Domaine Ste. Michelle Brut with a sweet pear flavor, a hint of the Teramana tequila, and a touch of lime that brings it full circle. It’s not too sweet, not too dry, but just a refreshing, crisp, fruity, bubbly drink. That said, the looks are deceiving here; this is not a sugary drink at all!

Yum!

Time to debrief. During our visit, the line for drinks was quite long. But there was no line for the band; anyone could walk over and listen! Honestly, though, once you have your drinks, there’s no need to stick around for long. It’s a fun Hollywood-esque area, but with all the other things to see and do during the party, we don’t think you need to spend much time at this little spot.

The band is fun!

If this event is a priority for you, make sure you head there early in the evening. Capacity is limited, so it might fill up later on.
