If you’ve set sail with Disney Cruise Line (DCL) out of Florida, then there’s a good chance that you’ve probably boarded the ship via Port Canaveral. 

This has been the primary port in Florida for as long as DCL has been sailing, but now, a new year-round port has been added. DCL entered an agreement with Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale in 2021 to serve as a port for the next 15 years, starting in October 2023. This is the FIRST time a port has been added for year-round use rather than seasonally, so it’s a pretty big deal! We’re taking you along with us today for a TOUR of Port Everglades as we embark on the Disney Dream. 

Come along with us for our journey through Port Everglades! When we arrived, we headed down a passageway to the check-in area. The lines are split for those headed toward the DCL transportation away from the port, as well as the line we were in — to head to check in. If you drive, you’ll park in the Heron Garage in Terminal 4. You have to arrive at your EXACT appointed time or you’ll be forced to enter a waiting corral.

We’re finally here!

When we headed inside, the check-in area was incredibly busy, of course, but that is to be expected for a cruise. We were in awe of the decor inside! Look at all of those hidden Mickeys in the ceiling!

One of our favorite things about the Port is that there is Joey Chou artwork throughout it. Check it out! There’s this Steamboat Willie art…

There’s also Donald and Daisy! 

And, of course, there’s Mickey and Minnie. 

Once you’re checked in, you can head to a waiting area to wait for your boarding group to be called! It’s basically like a larger scale version of airplane boarding.

While you wait, you can also head over and take a look at the ship through the glass!

There are also screens everywhere so that you know exactly when you should jump in line to board the ship. 

Once our boarding number was called, we jumped in line to board the Dream. This line was a lot more manageable.

Disney Lorcana has announced the details of their new format, Willpower League, which will debut at PAX Unplugged this Saturday, December 2, 2023.

Willpower League

Willpower League will open at PAX Unplugged at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday for first-come, first-serve seating. During this format, players will need to keep playing and winning games to hold onto their seats in the league. If they are banished, the next person waiting takes their place. There will be various achievement goals throughout the league, too. When the Willpower League ends, everyone currently holding a seat and achievement holders get prizes.

Hey Illumineers, it’s time to put your Disney Lorcana TCG strength to the test! At PAX Unplugged we’ll be kicking off a new form of league play found only at events, Willpower League! Starting on Saturday 12/2 at 2:30 PM ET at PAX Unplugged, we will open a first-come, first-serve seating area. Games played at the designated Willpower League tables will be able to earn achievements. The catch? You can only keep playing games there if you ward off opponents by collecting lore and winning games. If you lose a game, you’ll be banished from your seat and the next person in the waiting area gets to jump in!

Check the Willpower League channel on the Disney Lorcana TCG Official Discord Community (discord.gg/DisneyLorcana) for a list of achievements that will be updated every time someone achieves it and sets a new achievement goal. For example, an achievement might say “Most Characters in Play.” During a game at one of the designated tables, if you’ve met the current goal, call over a staff member to update the achievement with a picture of your game state. You’ve now set a new goal that others have to try to meet!

When the Willpower League ends, everyone who is currently holding onto one of the designated seats gets a prize! Additionally, each of the current achievement holders will get a prize as well! Please be sure that you’re in our event area when prizing is given out if you’re one of the final achievement winners. We’ll share the list of achievements in a Willpower League channel on Saturday morning. We hope you won’t be able to resist joining!

ComicBook.com exclusively revealed that the reprint of Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter will be released on December 22, 2023, at 12 a.m. PT / 3 a.m. ET on shopDisney.

Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter Reprint Release

It’s expected that all The First Chapter products, as well as Rise of the Floodborn products, will be available in this reprint. Pre-orders have already opened on some big box store websites like Amazon.

Disney Lorcana was first available at Gen Con 2023 in early August. It was then released — with limited stock — to local game stores on August 18. It arrived at U.S. Disney Parks on Monday, August 28. At Walt Disney World, starter decks sold out within the first hour of availability. Gift sets sold out soon after but were restocked in mid-September — before selling out again. The game’s wide release was on September 1 but stock has still been limited. The rarest cards are selling for upwards of $1,000.

Ravensburger announced that they would reprint The First Chapter and more products would be available in Q1 2024. They later specified that the reprint would be available in time for the 2023 holidays in North America and in January 2024 in Europe.

At the time, ComicBook.com asked Ravensburger about the size of the reprint. Co-designer and Senior Brand Manager Ryan Miller said, “We cannot discuss quantities, but our goal has always been to get as much product into the hands of fans as possible, and we are continuing to work with our suppliers to increase production to better meet demand as quickly as possible. I can confirm that the reprint will include both starter decks and booster packs.”

Rise of the Floodborn, the second chapter of the game, was released at local game stores and Disney Parks on November 17 before a wide release on December 1.
