There are some exciting changes happening at Disneyland, like new characters in Avengers Campus, a Splash Mountain makeover, and a revamp of Mickey’s Toontown.

Another change happening is over in Adventureland at Tarzan’s Treehouse. The treehouse, which has been themed to Tarzan since 1999, has been closed since September of 2022. We’ve known that it would be re-themed, but we did not know what the new concept would be — until now! We FINALLY know what’s going on with the treehouse in Dinseyland park!

Disney just revealed that the treehouse in Adventureland will pay tribute to the original treehouse Walt Disney and his Imagineers built in 1962 for the move Swiss Family Robinson. It will return in a “fresh, new way” at Disneyland park in 2023!

The Adventureland Treehouse will show “wondrous new environments created amongst the branches of a giant tree on the shores of the Jungle River.” Guests will also be able to enter by the giant waterwheel and go up the wood rope stairways into the tree.

Inside the treehouse, you will find rooms that the family created in this new story. The mother will have a music den, the son a nature room, and the daughter an astronomer’s loft. All of these things are made with found objects, natural resources, and “pure ingenuity.”

If you’d rather not go up in the tree, you can also check out the bottom floor of the treehouse, which will have an “ingenious” kitchen and dining room, as well as the father’s art studio. The studio will show hand-drawn sketches and paintings of each other rooms!

Disney says that Walt Disney Imagineers are “hard at work and delighted to bring this classic back in a fresh way, full of magic, enchantment, and wonder.”

Disney did not share the official opening date or season besides saying that it will be coming next year, in 2023. We’ll let you know more about the treehouse when Disney releases more information!
