CHURRO Cold Brew?! We’re Here For This Disney Festival Booth

The Festival of Holidays in Disney California Adventure will last from November 11th, 2022 through January 8th, 2023, and we were surprised to find that some booths opened EARLY!

Festival of Holidays Decor

Considering that snow was already on Sleeping Beauty Castle before Halloween, it makes sense that California is READY for the holidays, and we’re not gonna lie — we were excited to dig into the food. We’ve already found some BIG winners this year, so find out whether we found some new favorites at this next booth!

We’re stopping by the Favorite Things booth for some of our, well, favorite things!

Favorite Things Booth

This booth features a chicken dish, cold brew, and a really cute dessert — so let’s check it out!

Menu

There are two food dishes on the menu at Favorite Things, including Chicken Tikka Masala for $7.50 and Mrs. Claus’ Hot Cocoa Macaron for $6.50.

And as for the drinks, you can choose from the alcoholic Churro Toffee Cold Brew Latte Cocktail for $16 or the non-alcoholic Churro Toffee Cold Brew Latte for $6.75.

Eats

We’re starting off with the Chicken Tikka Masala, which is made with cardamom basmati rice, lemon raita, cilantro, and garlic naan crumble. This dish was pretty good! It came with generous pieces of chicken and we loved the cardamom rice. The naan crumbles reminded us of little croutons and they added a great texture — nice and crunchy.

Next up is Mrs. Claus’ Hot Cocoa Macaron, which was inspired by the Disney+ series The Santa Clauses, features a red macaron filled with chocolate hot cocoa filling and ganache finished with a chocolate decoration. This surprisingly tasted a lot like hot cocoa! The texture was nice too, and the chocolate advertisement for The Santa Clauses was kind of funny.

Now let’s wash our meal down with some coffee!

Drinks

The Churro Toffee Coffee Cold Brew Latte is made with Joffrey’s Mexican Cofee, demerara sugar, cinnamon sugar, vanilla bean, and almond milk, garnished with churro syrup, whipped cream, and chocolate toffee crumbles. This drink was SUPER sweet but it didn’t taste artificial and we really enjoyed it!

Non-Alcoholic Churro Toffee Cold Brew Latte

The churro and chocolate flavor combo were delicious and pretty well balanced, although the churro taste did stand out a bit more than the chocolate. This drink is also a lot cheaper than the alcoholic version, so keep that in mind if your festival budget is limited.

Overall

Overall, there’s kind of a wide mix of flavors at this booth, from the chicken to the macaron to the churro cold brew, so it might be a good place to stop if everyone in your group is in the mood for something different! The Chicken Tikka Masala is a solid choice and fans of hot cocoa who are also excited about The Santa Clauses might really like the macaron. And don’t forget the Churro Toffee Coffee Cold Brew Latte, a delicious marriage of churros and chocolate in the form of COFFEE.

Favorite Things Spread
