Walt Disney World Offering Gift Cards to Guests With Malfunctioning MagicBand+ and Resort Guests Whose Bands Won’t Arrive In Time

Since the recent launch of MagicBand+, a few issues have popped up. Some designs initially sold were later found to be malfunctioning, and issues with stock have been affecting resort guests who ordered pre-arrival bands.

One of our reporters purchased a MagicBand+ design that was later pulled from the shelves as some were malfunctioning. Its battery didn’t hold a charge.

Upon taking it to Guest Relations, they were aware of the problem and issued a gift card for a new band. Guests having issues with their MagicBand+, especially the pink 50th Cinderella Castle design, should visit Guest Relations.

Similarly, Walt Disney World Resort guests whose MagicBand+ won’t arrive in time for their visit are being contacted via email. For these guests, a refund is being issued, and a $50 digital gift card to purchase a MagicBand+ at the resort. The gift card doesn’t have to be used for a band if you so choose.

Resort guests who have not been emailed are still expected to receive their MagicBand+ before their arrival date.
