There’s Only ONE Reason To Visit the Festival of the Arts Funnel Cake Stand in EPCOT

We’re making our way around EPCOT today at the 2025 Festival of the Arts, and right now it’s time for funnel cake!

Funnel Cakes Stand

The funnel cake stand in the American Adventure Pavilion serves up a specialty funnel cake at every EPCOT Festival! Let’s find out if this year’s a winner! We’re live at the 2025 EPCOT Festival of the Arts, checking out the food studiosartistic performancesmerchandise, and more. There’s a LOT going on, but don’t let it overwhelm you. We’re here to tell you everything you need to know before your visit. Let’s go to Funnel Cake stand and check out what’s NEW!

Menu

Over at the Funnel Cake stand there’s ONE item for the Festival of the Arts — the NEW Cotton Candy Funnel Cake topped with powdered sugar, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, pink and purple sugar dusting, and cotton candy crunch.

Funnel Cakes Specialty Item Menu

Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!

Eats

Get ready to indulge that sweet tooth with the Cotton Candy Funnel Cake topped with powdered sugar, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, pink and purple sugar dusting, and cotton candy crunch! Okay, so here’s the thing, this snack is a whopping $12 and it’s a Disney Dining Plan snack credit, which means it’s a great use of a snack credit. BUT…

Cotton Candy Funnel Cake

We don’t think it’s worth $12. First, we didn’t get any cotton candy flavor from this funnel cake. However, that said, it was windy, and the actual cotton candy on top flew off the top of ours. WHOOPS. But there isn’t any cotton candy flavor in the funnel cake itself that we can taste.

It’s hard to eat

We also found it hard to eat and impossible to eat with our hands — there’s a lot going on with the ice cream, powdered sugar, and sugar crystals. We also think this is smaller than other funnel cakes we’ve seen in Disney World. Was it awful? No. Was it great? Also no.

OVERALL

If you’ve got the Disney Dining Plan, this funnel cake makes for a great use of a snack credit, but we wouldn’t pay for this snack again. There are far better things to eat at the festival, so we’d say save your $$$ for those other items.

That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from!

Is THIS What We’ve Been Waiting for at EPCOT’s CommuniCore Hall?!

The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts has officially started!

2025 Festival of the Arts

The festival will run from January 17th, to February 24th, 2025. There is so much to see and do at this short festival, including so many new offerings, like new Food Studios and menu items, new merchandise, and a new exhibit at CommuniCore Hall! CommuniCore Hall is EPCOT’s new festival space, which opened last June and is now home to a Disney on Broadway exhibit! Let’s take a look inside!

Now, usually, to experience the magic of Disney on Broadway, you would need an additional ticket, but all you need is your park ticket to experience this exhibit along with nightly Disney on Broadway performances at the America Gardens Theatre.

Disney on Broadway 2022

The new exhibit in CommuniCore Hall is called Once Upon a Stage: 30 Years of Disney on Broadway and features costumes and props from Disney musicals and a behind-the-scenes look at how animated films were adapted for Broadway. And, y’all, it’s INCREDIBLE!

You can’t miss it — you’ll find this banner prominently displayed at the entrance to CommuniCore Hall!

Once Upon a Stage

Once inside, you’ll find that the space has been transformed. For the first time, it looks like Disney is making good use of this space with tons of displays featuring sets, costumes, props, and more elements from Disney’s Broadway plays. Here’s a look at what the costume studio for Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway looks like!

Aladdin

There’s also a display of the mask and puppet workshop from The Lion King on Broadway, which is just incredible to see. These puppets are out of this world and so cool!

Lion King

Here’s a close-up look at the Pumbaa puppet from the play. Don’t worry, it doesn’t actually smell like Pumbaa.

Pumbaa

In addition to props, there are a ton of costumes on display from plays like Mary Poppins, Aladdin, The Lion King, Frozen, and the new Hercules play coming soon.

Costumes

Aside from the amazing Broadway exhibit, you can also find some Festival of the Arts merchandise inside CommuniCore Hall, too! We’ll be sharing a full look at all the merch soon, so stay tuned!

Merch!

We think this is an awesome new addition to the Festival of the Arts and are glad to see that Disney is doing more with the CommuniCore Hall space, as it has been a bit underwhelming.

CommuniCore Hall with no festival

We will be trying and checking out everything at the 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, so make sure to stay tuned and continue to follow along with DFB!
