REVIEW: Disneyland Took Totchos to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL at the Food & Wine Festival!

Welcome back to the 2022 Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival! We’re heading to a booth now that has a very promising name: D-Lish!

2022 Sign

There are all kinds of booths at this festival, including one devoted to artichokes and another that’s all about berries! Let’s check out D-Lish and find out if the dishes here live up to the booth’s name.

Menu

Every item on this year’s D-Lish menu is NEW! So we’ll be trying everything to let you know which ones are worth the money (and stomach space).

You’ll find potato puffs, sliders, and a couple of drinks at this booth.

Let’s dig right in and check out the food.

Food

First up, we’re trying the Black & Tan Beef Potato Puffs, served with Karl Strauss Wreck Alley stout gravy and lager microsponge. Say that three times fast! You can get this meat-and-potatoes snack for $8.50.

Black and Tan Beef Potato Puffs

We thought these potato puffs were amazing. The meat was SO tender and flavorful, and the gravy was nice and rich (like a pot roast gravy). The tots underneath were nice and crispy, and they soaked in the juices and became even tastier.

So good!

The other food item available at this booth is the Cubano Slider, available for $7.50. This sandwich is made with slow-roasted, mustard-crested pork and sliced smoked ham with melted Swiss cheese and a pickle slice. It’s served on a Hawaiian roll.

Cubano Slider

We thought this snack was really tasty! The pork was nice and tender, but the smoked ham seemed kind of like normal lunch meat that you can get at the grocery store. It’s a great option for kids because all of the flavors are very familiar.

Drinks

New food, new drinks, who could ask for more? We tried the Central California Cooler, a non-alcoholic drink made with peach, apple, orange, and lemon juices! You can get it for $6.50. This drink was really refreshing. The blend of fruit juices tasted very fresh, and it was the perfect balance of sweet and tart.

Central California Cooler

If you’re not ready to sip your way into summer, the Chocolate Marshmallow Cold Brew Cocktail for $15 might be for you! This coffee cocktail is made with Irish Whiskey, Joffrey’s Mexican Origin Coffee, chocolate syrup, almond milk, and toasted marshmallow.

Chocolate Marshmallow Cold Brew Cocktail

This cocktail was a little too strong for our taste. Coffee was definitely the dominant flavor in this drink, so you have to be a big coffee fan to enjoy it! The marshmallow topping was good, but it was very sweet.

Overall

If you’re coming to this booth, don’t skip out on those beef potato puffs! The Cuban slider is a great choice for little kids, and we also enjoyed the Cooler. Although the Cold Brew Cocktail was a little too strong for us, we think that people who REALLY love coffee will enjoy it!
