REVIEW: Did Avengers Campus Just WIN the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival?

The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is back for 2022 (we missed it!). So far this year, we’ve already enjoyed some amazing snacks and treats during the Disney Lunar New Year Festival, but now it’s time for a new event to take over Disney California Adventure!

We can’t wait to see what’s new!

In addition to all the new festival-exclusive food booths set up around Disney California Adventure, a few other Disney locations are serving special treats! Now, we’re headed to the Avengers Campus to see what there is to eat.

The Pym Test Kitchen and Pym Tasting Lab are two relatively new food locations in Disney California Adventure that serve pretzels, sandwiches, salads, and more! Also nearby, you can stop at the Terran Treats snack cart.

For the DCA Food & Wine Festival, all three of these places have some special items on the menu!

At Pym Test Kitchen, the special item available just for the Food & Wine Festival is the Elote Pretzel. And honestly, just looking at the menu, our mouths are watering!

The Pym Tasting Lab right next door is offering some new Snack Molecules! (Which is basically a fun popcorn mix.)

Also nearby is Terran Treats, which is home to the Raspberry Spiral Ration this year. It’s a churro in disguise!

These little food locations tend to have some tasty snacks, so we’re hoping the new treats live up to the hype!

Eats

The Elote Pretzel is a 5-ounce Pretzel topped with Corn 3 ways, Cilantro Sprigs, Radish, Cotija, and Flavored Crema. You can try it for $10.49. We enjoyed this one quite a bit with its plethora of toppings! The three types of corn are creamed, baby popcorn (so cute!), and regular corn kernels. The flavored crema has a little kick to it, so keep that in mind if you’re not into spicy things. As a bonus, it came with a lime on the side, so squeeze that thing to your heart’s content!

Additionally, the Snack Molecules consist of Mini Pretzels, Honey-roasted Peanuts, and Popped Sorghum with Spring Flavors. This assortment of treats is $6.50. The “spring” flavors in the popcorn were lemon and strawberry, and we even found some little pieces of honeycomb cereal in ours. It was a pretty tasty mix, and it would be great for those who want those summery fruit flavors.

But what about that Raspberry Spiral Ration? It’s $6.25 and made with a yellow spiral churro topped with berry compote. We have to say…this was SO yummy! The actual churro has a very light raspberry flavor, but the sugar is regular sugar. The topping is basically pie filling, and we’re certainly not complaining about that!

Altogether, it makes a very fruity and delicious treat. We give it two thumbs up!

Overall

Is Avengers Campus a winner when it comes to Food & Wine Festival food? We think so! We enjoyed everything that we ate here at the three different locations, but that pretzel and the Raspberry Spiral Ration were the real standouts. Between the two, you’ve got a little bit of sweet, a little bit of savory, and a little bit of spicy — the perfect combo if you ask us. Who knew that we’d be enjoying the eats that didn’t even come from a festival booth so much?!
