How Will the Lifted U.S. Travel Restrictions Impact Disney World?

To ensure we are equipping our readers with all the information they need, we will continue to report on all travel, safety, and COVID-related news that could impact a Disney Parks visit.

Ever since Disney World reopened to guests in 2020, the parks have seen shorter wait times, smaller crowds, and lower capacities. As things begin to return to “normal”, we’ve seen some changes around the parks and resorts. The further into the year we get, the more Disney is beginning to feel like it did before the pandemic.

Discovery Island in Disney’s Animal Kingdom

But one major thing is still pretty different in Disney: many international guests haven’t been able to visit Disney World since reopening. Soon, though, that will change.

Beginning on November 8th, the U.S. will lift the foreign travel ban, allowing international travelers to visit the country once again. Visitors will need proof of vaccination and are subject to enhanced COVID testing.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

What does this mean for Disney World? According to Click Orlando, the Orlando area is expecting a huge influx of visitors after the restrictions are lifted. Casandra Matej, President and CEO of Visit Orlando, recently said “Visit Orlando is in London literally inviting our UK friends back to Orlando because we’re open, we know you can travel safely and we now know the protocols.”

Magic Kingdom Crowds in December 2020

According to Matej, international tourists contribute $6 billion to Central Florida’s economy each year. If you’re planning on visiting Disney World soon, prepare for more crowds with the influx of international travelers.

Nice to see you, Mickey!

We’ll continue to update you on any COVID-19 related information that could impact your Disney World trip.

Walt Disney World Memories: Room For One More at the Haunted Mansion

For more than 50 years, guests have come face-to-face with the 999 happy ghouls, ghosts and goblins in the Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom Park. My first otherworldly encounter with this opening day attraction was in July 1983. Prior to that visit, I had never been inside a haunted house. Seven-year-old me only listened to […]

In Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom, construction continues on attractions old and new as a path is cleared for the Walt Disney World Railroad beneath TRON Lightcycle / Run. The structure next to TRON Lightcycle / Run has mostly been painted white. Red safety netting surrounds the two upper stories. The adjacent concrete structure still has exposed rebar sticking out of the top. Crews have been installing wiring for the illuminated canopy. Beneath the coaster track, a rebar-covered bridge for the […]

PHOTOS: Star Wars Pickles? These Disney World Guests Brought Their A-Game With Halloween Costumes!

Happy Halloween everyone! It’s the spookiest day of the year and you know what that means: awesome costumes!

Halloween in Magic Kingdom!

It’s the perfect day to eat some festive treats and enjoy the Halloween decor, but it’s also one of the few times at the Disney parks where everyone can dress up in a costume! So today we’re shining a spotlight on some of the cool costumes we’re seeing at Disney World!

Just like Disney, this article is starting with a mouse! This Sorcerer Mickey look (made & worn by @Mad_Hatter1701 on Instagram) is the perfect way to kick off our list of fun costumes. Plus, check out all the pins and patches on the hat (and the adorable little Sorcerer Stitch!).

Instagram: @Mad_Hatter1701

There were also plenty of family group costumes at the parks today! We spotted a wonder Tangled-themed ensemble (@Ashley__Patrick on Instagram), complete with a frying pan, Pascal, and Shorty (the guy in the Snuggly Duckling who dresses up like Cupid!).

Instagram: @Ashley__Patrick

@Brandon__Butcher on Instagram and his family really brought their A-game with this Peter Pan group costume! We were really impressed by their style and level of detail.

The @HouseofPaynes_ on Instagram came to the parks today in an adorable Mary Poppins group costume (the Mary and Bert outfits are too cute!).

Another great family costume we saw was this Moana-themed costume from @Jenbenr on Instagram and family!

Okay, this next one is kind of a big dill. The family of @samage_3 on Instagram was dressed as pickles! This one definitely made us smile — who would’ve thought we’d see pickles holding lightsabers and blue milk?!

Next up is a Mandalorian-themed group from the family of @ladyrachelbarrows on Instagram! It was fun to see Mando and The Child at Galaxy’s Edge today.

Now, we couldn’t find EVERY great costume at the parks today, but these are just a few of the highlights we saw at the parks today! We’re always keeping up with the latest Disney news, so stay tuned here for more!

Ranking EVERY Item on Space 220’s Lunch Menu from Worst to Best!

Space 220 is one of EPCOT’s latest dining offerings and features an immersive dining experience that makes you feel like you’re in space!

Space 220

Today, we’re ranking ALL of Space 220’s food offerings from their $55 Prix Fixe lunch!

We’re starting from our least favorites and working our way up to our must-trys! Let’s get it started!

Lift-Offs (Appetizers)

7 — Galaxy Grain Salad

At the bottom of our list is the Galaxy Grain Salad with Quinoa, Beluga Lentils, Roasted Red and Golden Beets, Oranges, King Oyster Mushroom, Cashew Hummus!

Galaxy Grain Salad

This one had a lot of great-tasting ingredients, but the combination of all of these ingredients was not a winner for us.

6 — Neptune Tartare

The Neptune Tartare is made with Yellowfin Tuna, Yuzu Ginger Miso, Soy, Avocado, Raddish, Apple, and Sesame Crackers.

Neptune Tartare

It has a very creative presentation and great flavors, but its adventurous flavors might not be for everyone!

5 — Centauri Caesar Salad

Next up was the Centauri Caesar Salad with Miniature Romaine, Classic Caesar Dressing, and Parmigiano Reggiano.

Centauri Caesar Salad

This is pretty much just your standard Caesar salad!

4 — Starry Calamari

At number four, we’ve got the Starry Calamari with Fried Calamari, Italian Cherry Peppers, Spicy Marinara, and Roasted Pepper Citrus Aioli!

Starry Calamari

This was a hefty appetizer with a nice light breading that wasn’t too greasy.

3 — Space Greens

The best salad was the Space Greens with Bibb Lettuce, Dried Cranberries, Roasted Pears, Spiced Pecans, and Apple Cider Dressing.

Space Greens

This was the most exciting of the three salad offerings, but it still wasn’t nearly as good as the other appetizer options.

2 — Big Bang Burrata

At number two is the Big Bang Burrata with Burrata di Mozzarella, Grilled Artichoke Hearts, Arugula, and Sunflower Seed Romesco.

Big Bang Burrata

It was tasty, although we wanted it to come with bread and a more flavorful sauce.

1– Blue Moon Cauliflower

And the winner is…the Blue Moon Cauliflower with Tempura Fried Cauliflower, Housemade Hot Sauce, and Blue Cheese Dust!

Blue Moon Cauliflower

The textures, the flavors, the freeze-dried blue cheese…everything was just perfect on this appetizer!

The Star Courses (Entrees)

8 — Terra-Bolognese

At the bottom of our list of entrees was the Terra-Bolognese with Corn Linguine, Tempeh Ragu, Macadamia Nut “Ricotta,” Zucchini, and Mushroom. This one is a little bit too basic for our tastes, especially with the $55 price tag of the meal.

Terra Bolognese

7 — Centauri Burger

Next is the Centauri Burger with Signature Beef Blend, White Cheddar Cheese, Bacon, Shredded Lettuce, Tomatoes, Fried Potato Wedges, and Sriracha Aioli.

Centauri Burger

This was a good dish, but much like the Bolognese, it’s just not worth the price!

6 — Baked Maccheroni

Right above the burger is the Baked Maccheroni with Candele Pasta, Sausage Ragu, Broccolini, Sheep’s Milk Ricotta, Béchamel, and Pecorino.

Baked Maccheroni

This was a good dish, just a little bit basic given the setting and price (we actually forgot we ate it for a little while there, it’s not memorable at all).

5 — Roasted Free Range Chicken

Next up is the Roasted Free-Range Chicken with Chicken Roulade, Mashed Potatoes, Brussels Sprouts, and Roasted Garlic Thyme Jus!

Roasted Free-range Chicken

This is a good dish, but it’s pretty something you’d eat at a holiday dinner at your parent’s house.

4 — Blue house Salmon

At number four on our list is the Bluehouse Salmon with Glazed Carrots, King Oyster Mushrooms, Baby Bok Choy, Ginger, and Beurre Blanc.

Bluehouse Salmon

This was a really well-composed dish and tasted amazing with the beurre blanc.

3 — Flat Iron Steak

Next is the Flat Iron Steak with Coffee Space Rub, Smashed Fingerling Potatoes, Cabernet Butter, and Haricot Vert!

The Flat Iron Steak

This was a fantastic dish, the only thing that held it back were the green beans. But it was great besides the beans.

2 — The Lobster Globe

This one isn’t necessarily an entree, it’s an add-on for $18! The Lobster Globe is Maine Lobster Salad, Quinoa, Bulgur Wheat, Avocado, Lettuce, Mango, Citrus Dressing, and Crispy Wonton.

Galactic Lobster Globe

This grabbed our number two spot because it was delicious and had an amazing otherworldly presentation, but it isn’t a lot of food for an extra $18.

1 — Seared Tuna

Finally, the winner is the Seared Tuna with Spiced Yellowfin Tuna, Avocado, Marinated Egg, Brown Rice, Edamame, Pineapple, and Radishes!

Seared Tuna

This dish has a LOT going on, but everything works together perfectly and makes this dish a bang-for-your-buck symphony of flavor.
