What’s New At Disneyland Resort — HalloweenTime Arrives With Decorations, Snacks, and Souvenirs!

Hello from the West Coast, DFB Readers!

Mickey Pumpkin at Disneyland

It’s an exciting time to be at Disneyland Resort because HalloweenTime has officially arrived! And we’re checking it all out — all the cool decor, snacks, merchandise, characters, and more! So let’s see what’s new right now at Disneyland!

Disneyland Food Updates

Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor

We headed over to Gibson Girl Ice Cream to check out the Trick-or-Treat Sundae, which is basically two sundaes in one (yes, please!) The first sundae is made with Sour Gummy Ice Cream with Raspberry SauceGummy Treats, and Fruit Candies. The second is made with Chocolate Ice Cream with Hot Fudge and Chocolate Candy Bar pieces. AND it’s served in a souvenir Mickey Kitchen Sink Bowl!

Two sundaes in one

Here’s the thing, though — we didn’t think the flavors from the two sundaes mixed very well. But feel free to try it for yourself for $16.99.

Red Rose Taverne

The Grey Stuff just got a Halloween upgrade and is now known as the Halloween Grey Stuff. It’s the same Grey Stuff we know and love (White Chocolate Cookies and Cream Mousse with Red Velvet Cake and a Raspberry Center), but now it also has a Tombstone Cookie and Halloween Sprinkles. It’s pretty much tastes like the normal grey stuff, but look at it!

Dig in? Okay!

The Poison Apple Premium Mug has made a wicked comeback this year. We did see it earlier in the year (although it was purple then, and now it’s red) and we’ve seen other versions of it in the past. This isn’t clear like past versions — it’s a shiny metallic red!

Poison Apple Premium Mug

We found this at Red Rose Taverne for $16.99 — it comes with your choice of a drink or fries. We also spotted it at the Fruit Stand on Buena Vista Street at California Adventure.

Hungry Bear Restaurant

Halloween means ALL the pumpkin things, so we couldn’t turn down the Pumpkin Cheesecake Funnel Cake at Hungry Bear! And there is SO much to love about this snack — there’s Pumpkin Cheesecake Filling on top of a Funnel Cake, which is topped with Ice Cream and Whipped Cream and it’s in the shape of Mickey!

Pumpkin Cheesecake Funnel Cake

It’s a returning item, and we’re so happy to have this delicious treat back — it’s delicious! It’s available now for $8.99.

Disneyland Merchandise Updates

Popcorn Carts

You want Halloween popcorn buckets? Well, Disneyland has got ’em! First up, we saw the Mickey Mummy Popcorn Bucket in Frontierland. Isn’t he boo-tiful? He’s available now at select popcorn carts throughout the resort for $20.50.

Oh My Goodness!!!

We also spotted a VERY cool Glow-in-the-Dark Mickey and Friends Halloween Popcorn Bucket. It’s got Mickey on it with all his friends — and they’re all wearing their Halloween costumes.

It’s officially Halloween in Disneyland!

This one can be found at most popcorn carts throughout Disneyland for $11.

Disney California Adventure Food Updates

Lamplight Lounge

We love food with a kick, so we had to try out the Ghost Pepper Nachos for $21 at Lamplight Lounge. These nachos are made with house-made Green Tortilla Chips, Ghost Pepper Cheese Sauce, Ghost Pepper-Marinated Steak, Refried Beans, Tomatillo Avocado Salsa, Tomato, and Cilantro. But did they pack a punch?

Ghost Pepper Nachos

Well, actually we found them to be a bit milder than their description suggests. There was a bit of a kick, but if you’re worried about these being TOO spicy, they’re not. And they’re pretty yummy.

Corn Dog Castle

Speaking of snacks with a kick, we also tried the Pepper-Jack Cheese Stick at Corn Dog Castle. It’s a Pepper Jack Cheese Stick dipped in Corn Dog Batter and topped with Raspberry Sauce, Pineapple, and Jalapeños. And it was the perfect combo of sweet and spicy.

Pepper-Jack Cheese Stick

And really, can you go wrong with cheese on a stick? We think not. You can grab this snack for $8.99 — it comes with a choice of a Cuties Mandarin or Chips.
