Jurassic World: Dominion in Jurassic Park, Cooling Off with an Uncapped Fire Hydrant, Prices Increased on Reusable Bags, Mardi Gras Food Booths Removed, and More: Universal Orlando Resort Photo Report 4/28/22

Welcome to another beautiful day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. Let’s get going and see what’s happening today. First stop of the day is to Universal Studios Florida!

Over at Universal Studios Florida, the food booths have all been taken down around the park. Mardi Gras is over, and we miss it already. Especially the food.

You know it’s a hot day when the fire hydrant is uncapped in New York. This fire hydrant is a water play area on the corner of Delancey Street, across from the Film Vault and Transformers. It’s fun to splash around and run through the water. We love watching adults and kids cooling off and having fun over here.

The mummy statue from the entrance of the Monsters Tribute Store has moved over towards the entrance to the arcade. The store is still open inside Sahara Traders, so stop in and check it out.

Construction walls are up around the entrance of Louie’s Italian Restaurant, while Guido’s Gelato is refurbished. The exterior is already looking good in just a couple of days.

Fievel’s Playland remains closed as refurbishment continues. There’s no estimated time for the area to reopen, but we’ll be waiting.

Just stopping by to pay a quick visit to Prisoner 24601.

When your friend doesn’t want to go to the Wizarding World, so you have to carry them into Diagon Alley.

The prices for reusable tote bags have gone up by $1. Wizarding World bags are higher priced than the regular Universal bags.

The Jurassic World wrap around the Universal Studios Store has had “Summer 2022” added along the bottom of the windows.

Over at Islands of Adventure, Jurassic World: Dominion has taken over Jurassic Park. There are banners, cutouts, and signs around Jurassic Outfitters, Thunder Falls Terrace, and Pizza Predattoria.

Caro-Seuss-el is still covered in scrims, and we can hear work happening behind the scenes. We’ll be excited to ride it again whenever it reopens.

Some props in Toon Lagoon have returned. The detonator for the Hush-A-Bomb is back as well as the spinning silverware on the Comic Strip Cafe sign.

It’s amazing how popular Spider-Man is. There’s a very long line to meet him today. We’ve seen a lot of long lines for character meet and greets lately now that they are no longer distanced. Everyone is ready to get back to hugging their favorite friends.

It’s been a long day, so we’re getting out of here, but we’ll be back soon. Be sure to stay tuned to Universal Parks News Today for more updates. See you next time!
