We flew over to Batuu and decided to try the new Dewback Chili Noodles now available at Docking Bay 7.
Dewback Chili Noodles – $15.49
Spiced Pappardelle Noodles and Gingered Ground Pork with Brussels Sprout Leaves and Shredded Red Cabbage
This is yet another fantastic addition to an already fantastic menu at Docking Bay 7.
With a hearty portion of noodles that bear a hint of spice, and delicious ground Dewback (pork) in a ginger glaze, this dish is a highlight of any visit to Batuu.
The noodles are oddly chewy, but not in an unpleasant way. They’re almost like a fresh pasta that is undercooked and doughy, though we doubt that fresh pasta is being made backstage in the quantities needed to run this restaurant.
Whatever the cause, the noodles bring an interesting texture and the chili sauce brings a bit of spice but not overwhelmingly so.
The ground Dewback is superb, and we would very much enjoy an entire burger made of this.
Overall, this is a spectacular lunch that is hearty enough to fuel your adventures, without weighing you down like you’re trapped in carbonite.
