Disney Really Said Charcuterie Board, But Make It Portable for the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival

It’s finally here — the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival has arrived!

Plenty of Time to Explore

We’ve already been making our way around the festival, checking out ALL the food, eating our way around the world and back again (yes, that includes eating ALL the cheesy things). This year also brings back the Eat to the Beat concert series — and we’re stoked to check that out, too! But for now, we’re heading to Spain to eat!

Menu

The Spain Booth is located between the Germany and Italy pavilions in EPCOT’s World Showcase.

Spain in 2022

The Spain Booth has one of our all-time favorite snacks, the Charcuterie, which is served in a cup. Every food item is returning here this year. Also, each food item here is gluten-friendly.

However, there are a few new drinks, but we’ll get to that after we take a look at the food!

Food

Here’s a look at the full spread!

Spain Food and Wine selections

The Charcuterie is back this year! It has a selection of imported Spanish Meats, Cheeses, Olives, and an Herbed Vinaigrette for $6.50, and we ARE so ready to dive in again. This is usually one of our favorites, and this year is no different! It’s a great snack if you’re on the go because you can walk and eat it.

Charcuterie

It’s also surprisingly filling for what it is! And it’s super flavorful too. The sausage does have a little bit of a kick, so watch out for that spice!

A little cup of lovely meats and cheeses

The Paella with Rice, Chorizo, and Shrimp is also returning this year for $6.25. This is good, but it could be better. The rice is cooked and seasoned well, and the shrimp are just okay — they could use some more seasoning but they still have a fresh flavor.

Paella with Rice, Chorizo, and Shrimp

The best part of this dish is the chorizo sausage! It’s bold and full flavored with a great texture and perfectly balanced seasoning. The paella could honestly only have the sausage and rice in it and it would be great!

Paella

Finally, we have the Seafood Salad with Shrimp, Bay Scallops, Mussels, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, White Balsamic Vinegar, and Smoked Paprika returning this year for $6.25. This is a lighter dish than the other two, and we usually enjoy it, but this year, it was pretty mediocre.

Seafood Salad

The salad doesn’t have much flavor and even the green olives are rather bland. It’s oily and some pieces were even a bit rubbery, which you don’t really want when it comes to seafood!

This was a bit disappointing!

Now, for the drinks!

Drinks

Returning drinks this year include the Estrella Galicia Cerveza Especial Lager, which is $5 for a 6 oz. and $9 for a 12 oz. and the Faustino VII Rioja Rosado for $5. However, there are two new wines, including the Kentia Albariño Rías Baixas for $5.

Kentia Albarino Rias Baixas

This was very refreshing, even though it’s a dry wine. It also has a nice citrus flavor!

Great for white wine lovers!

The Quinta del ’67 Almansa Garnacha Tintorera is also new this year for $6.50.

Quinta del 67 Almansa Garnacha Tintorera

This wine is VERY dry. Like, our reporter said their mouth went dry after just one sip. We think this would be great with a sit down dinner, but it’s not so great when you’re walking around EPCOT in the 100 degree heat.

This is NOT refreshing!

If you’d like to try all THREE wines, you can also grab a Wine Flight for $6.25. If you’re not sure which wine you’ll like, we’d suggest getting the flight to try them all!

Overall

Overall, this is unique booth where you’re find some flavors that are a bit more adventurous. The charcuterie is our favorite thing here, so if you get one thing, we’d grab that! The paella is alright, and the seafood salad was just meh, so we wouldn’t go out of your way to grab them unless you REALLY want to try them (you do you!). This is a great booth for people looking for some gluten-friendly foods though!

One last look at that food
