Greetings from the Universal Orlando Resort! It’s a hot, humid day, but we’re ready to make our way around the parks and see what’s happening today. Let’s head over to Universal Studios Florida first.

It’s heartbreaking to walk by Monsters Cafe. The restaurant was announced permanently closed, so we’ll be eager to see what takes its place. You can take a final look around the restaurant in our post here.

Very low crowds this morning. It looks like most people are sleeping in today.

It’s so humid today, we had to stop into Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlour for some ice cream to cool off. Short lines for ice cream can’t be beat!

The Hogwarts Express only had a 10 minute wait, so we decided to save ourselves the walk and take a ride.

The All Hallows Hula Boutique is a vibe for the summer. We can’t get enough of this spooky new summer theme. Take a full tour in our post here.

The line for Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure didn’t look very long, but the sign said there was a 100 minute wait for the attraction.

We like to look around at the plants in Jurassic Park. This one is growing near VelociCoaster.

Camp Jurassic is still open, but Pteranodon Flyers is closed for unscheduled maintenance. No word on when the ride will reopen.

People watching in the Jurassic Park River Adventure splash zone is a great way to relax and cool off on a hot day.

Anybody else see Kong’s hand holding the sign? Or just us?

Construction walls have come down from the entrance of Toon Extra in Toon Lagoon. Don’t forget you can stop here and pick up your Annual Passholder magnet.

Free cups of water are a lifesaver on a hot day. We spotted these out and easily accessible for guests at the Cotton Candy stand in Marvel.

The crowds picked up a bit in the afternoon, but it’s still not too bad.

We can see fresh paint on the main structure of Caro-Seuss-el, and scrims have been removed on one side. Hopefully, this means we’re getting closer to a grand reopening.

Did you know you can get vegan pizza tots from Green Eggs and Ham in Seuss Landing? They aren’t on the menu, but we can confirm they do still have them available. You can read our review of them here.

Thanks for following along with us today.
