This summer, Universal Studios Hollywood is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Studio Tour. If you work up an appetite after riding the tram, make your way over to Hollywood and Dine for their special offerings. Woody Woodpecker and Chilly Willy are featured on this limited time menu, so we decided to grab a quick lunch here.
Studio Tour 60th Anniversary Menu at Hollywood and Dine
Hollywood and Dine is serving up BBQ Brisket Burgers, BBQ Cheeseburgers, BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches, and BBQ Chicken Sandwiches on Woody Woodpecker buns. There’s also a Summer Strawberry Salad and BBQ Corn Dog available for savory items. The specialty Cosmic Punch drink can be found here, as well as the Film Reel Cookie Sandwich. Two sweet treats themed to Chilly Willy complete the menu. There’s a Chilly Willy Funnel Cake and a Chilly Willy Snowball.
Woody Woodpecker BBQ Burger – $16.99
All beef patty, American cheese, BBQ sauce, onion rings, lettuce, tomato, and pickles on a Woody Woodpecker themed brioche bun. Served with crinkle cut fries.
The BBQ Cheeseburger looks amazing. The paper liner under the burger is themed to the anniversary of the Studio Tour. There’s a red Glamor Tram design and a 60th anniversary logo.
The brioche buns on the sandwiches have an imprint of Woody Woodpecker. The design is bold and clear and takes a great photo. It’s good to see Woody Woodpecker getting plenty of representation during the celebration of the Studio Tour.
The BBQ cheeseburger was delicious. Onion rings, American cheese, and tangy BBQ sauce are a classic combo. The onion rings on the burger were perfectly crisp and crunchy. It was also a nice surprise to see several smaller onion rings on the cheeseburger rather than one giant one. The BBQ sauce was tangy and had a slightly sweet taste to it and the brioche bun was soft. Everything about this BBQ cheeseburger was perfect.
Chilly Willy Snowball – $7.99
White chocolate cake coated in coconut flakes
Another Universal Pictures icon who is getting some love on the 60th anniversary menu is Chilly Willy. There’s a funnel cake and a snowball, but we had to try the snowball. There’s a small, edible Chilly Willy image on the front of the snowball and a decorative Chilly Willy hat tops it all off.
This snowball was amazing. There’s a small layer of vanilla cake at the bottom and a white chocolate mousse-like texture on top. In the center, there were a few crunchy pearls and a chunk of fudge. The chocolate center was the highlight of the dessert. The white chocolate outside was good, but the rich chocolate center was fantastic. If you like coconut, you might be disappointed, since you really can’t taste any coconut.
The Chilly Willy hat on top was like meringue. The sweet, sugary hat had a crunchy and airy texture and was one of the best parts of the dessert. We highly recommend this dessert.
The 60th anniversary of the Studio Tour will be happening now through August 11, 2024, so we expect the Hollywood and Dine menu will also run through the same date. If you don’t have a chance to make it out to see the 60th anniversary celebration, be sure to check out our full post and video here.
