GOOD NEWS: Disney World Rides AVOID Triple-Digit Wait Times in First Week of May

Welcome to Data Town. OK, this isn’t really Data Town, but we are here to bring you some fresh statistics straight from Disney World. We compiled the average Disney World wait time data for the past seven days (April 26th–May 2nd), and we need to tell you the interesting trends we’ve spotted. Walt Disney World saw some interesting average wait time fluctuations this week. Most parks saw the status quo remain in place, while one saw some WILD increases.

Two of Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s most in-demand attractions saw double-digit increases in wait times this week, with one breaking the 90-minute barrier as Disney World’s most in-demand attraction. Ready to see the stats? Let’s go!

Magic Kingdom Wait Times

The Magic Kingdom saw wait times for the park’s most in-demand rides FALL this week, with Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan’s Flight, Space Mountain, and Jungle Cruise all seeing slight decreases. (NOTE: Since Tron Lightcycle/Run does not currently use a standby queue, it’s not included here.)

  • Jungle Cruise — 46 minutes

After two weeks of rising wait times, things stabilized a bit at EPCOT week, and the wait for the ever-in-demand Frozen Ever After fell slightly. (NOTE: Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind does not currently use a standby queue, it’s not included here.)

  • Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure — 65 minutes

Unlike the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, Animal Kingdom saw some MASSIVE wait time increases this week. Flight of Passage hit a resort-high average of 90 (!!) minutes, while Expedition Everest jumped to over 40 minutes.

Everything followed the status quo at Hollywood Studios this week. The park’s major attractions maintained their long waits without much fluctuation either way, as is to be expected given the park’s attraction count.
