The Mission: SPACE Advanced Training Labs are located at the ride’s exit. We saw Cast Members training at the Space Race station in early April. This week, we saw the game open to guests.

According to Cast Members, they are only opening Space Race about twice a week if there are enough guests to play.

The game needs two teams of guests, who compete to fix their spaceships. Each guest works at a computer station with several different buttons.

Space Race is a fun game and a great way to pass the time when you need air conditioning.

Space Race closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. It did not reopen with the rest of Walt Disney World later that year but was operating in June 2021. It closed again just a couple of months later. This is the first time we’ve seen it operating since August 2021.
