The Walt Disney Company often faces lawsuits. Let’s just say its legal department is kept very busy.

Just recently, the company has had to face lawsuits related to an upcoming sports streaming service, lawsuits by employees, lawsuits from Disney Parks visitors, and more. Disney was also sued by Disneyland Magic Key holders and agreed to settle. A judge ordered a settlement in that lawsuit, and we now have an update on that.

The $9.5 million class action lawsuit claimed that Disneyland misled and deceived those who purchased the Dream Key pass by limiting capacity and restricting reservations to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, although the key promised “no blockout dates.”

Disneyland agreed to settle, and a settlement was ordered. According to The Orange County Register, a U.S. District Court Judge involved in the case has now finalized the settlement details. The final judgment was ordered on March 4th. As a result, 103, 431 Dream Key holders will get about $67 each. Those Magic Key holders will receive a notice from a settlement administrator who will pay out the cash awards via email or regular mail.

If you are a Dream Key holder, you will automatically be contacted — there is no need to submit a claim to get paid. You’ll just need to be looking for an email from the settlement administrator with instructions on how to get your money. Note that you will get an email to the address you use with your Disneyland Magic Key account.

Those who don’t have an email on file or have an email address that bounces back will receive a check by mail. A website will be set up, though, if you need to update your email or mail address.
