It appears that the upcoming refurbishment for Walt Disney Presents at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been either postponed or canceled, according to the Walt Disney World operating calendar.
Walt Disney Presents Refurbishment Removed from Calendar
As we previously reported, the attraction was scheduled to close starting Monday, February 12, 2024, and would remain closed through March 1, before reopening to guests on Saturday, March 2. At the time of press, the website has been updated, and that closure is no longer listed on the Walt Disney World webpage for Walt Disney Presents.
When looking at the page now, Walt Disney Presents offers its usual operating hours. The attraction has also been removed from the main operating calendar webpage, which shows various attractions closed for refurbishment.
For now, the only refurbishment closure at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, and its gift shop, Rock Around the Shop. Both will reopen sometime this summer.
It is unclear if this refurbishment was canceled or simply postponed, but Walt Disney Presents has operating hours listed on the calendar through Friday, April 5, 2024, which is as far as it currently shows.
The walk-through attraction, located in Animation Courtyard, offers a look at 100 years of history celebrating Walt Disney, a meet and greet with Ariel from the live-action version of “The Little Mermaid,” an exhibit for “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” series on Disney+, and sneak peeks of upcoming Disney and Pixar films.
