Why is that, you ask? Well, because Disney loves to keep us on our toes by bringing limited-time treats into the mix. Right now, we’re in the midst of Celebrate Soulfully — a month-long celebration of Black culture and history that brings unique entertainment and delicious dishes to the parks. And now, it’s time to try another treat!

Come with us to the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor in Magic Kingdom, where we’re trying the new Butter Pecan Praline Sundae! For $8.79, you get butter pecan ice cream topped with praline sauce, spiced pecans, and whipped cream. Sounds like a dream!

Butter Pecan Praline Sundae

Butter pecan lovers, this one’s for you! The butter pecan ice cream is decadent and creamy with the pecans being softer where they’ve been in the ice cream against the crunchy candied pralines that top the whipped cream. The added caramel drizzle was just the right pairing to make this one a winning combination. It’s a good combination of textures with creamy ice cream and a bit of a crunch from the pecans and pralines.

Butter Pecan Praline Sundae

If you don’t like butter pecan ice cream, or nuts for candied praline toppings — that’s pretty much all that’s in this one so you might want to skip. Butter pecan lovers and people who like ice cream with not too many toppings will probably love this! It’s certainly on the sweet side, but let’s be real — this is ice cream, did you expect anything different?!

Twas delicious

We’ll be trying a ton of different treats during Celebrate Soulfully, so stay tuned to DFB as we bring you even more snack reviews from all the limited-time eats in Disney World!
