While the Home Depot lights remain outside Columbia Harbour House at Magic Kingdom, the restaurant’s façade has received a few good touch-ups, as well as more scaffolding.

A tree and some shrubbery have been planted outside this alcove. Before construction, there was a larger tree here, but it was removed during work.

In our report on the lights, we also noted that the wall in this alcove needed painting and there was significant rust on the wheel-shaped post by the flowerbed.

The rusted end of the post has been covered with fabric so it’s not a liability.

The gray putty on these yellow slats has been painted over. The blue column and door frame have also been touched up. They had white splotches of primer and scuff marks on them yesterday.

This area looks much better today.

One of the Home Depot lights is on the ceiling in this alcove. The lights were installed in the clearly visible outlines of the old themed lamps. Hopefully, these are just temporary.

New construction walls surround scrim-covered scaffolding near the main entrance of Columbia Harbour House. There was previously just scrim on this wall over a mural. Judging by the rest of the refurbishment work, more scaffolding will probably be installed to cover the top half of the building, too.

So far, the refurbishment of Columbia Harbour House hasn’t seen any major changes to the restaurant, just maintenance updates. It remains open, serving New England-style fare.
