The “One Man’s Dream” theater in Walt Disney Presents at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is currently closed for refurbishment.

The Walt Disney Presents exhibit, live-action Ariel meet-and-greet, and “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” exhibit are still open. While the theater is closed, guests are not able to exit through it and will have to exit through the main entrance.

The Walt Disney World website initially indicated Walt Disney Presents would be closed from February 12 through March 1. The closure was later removed from the calendar.

It now seems that the closure was removed because only the theater would be closing and Disney likely didn’t want guests to think the rest of the attraction would also be unavailable.

The theater is at the end of an exhibit about Walt Disney’s life and the 100-year history of The Walt Disney Company. “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” costumes and props are currently outside the theater in a flexible exhibit space.

Black curtains block the doors to the theater, which usually plays the 15-minute “One Man’s Dream” documentary about Walt Disney. The theater also occasionally plays previews of new or upcoming Disney films.

We could hear crews working beyond the black curtains. We also thought we could smell new carpet being installed.

If the original closure dates are correct, the “One Man’s Dream” theater could reopen to guests on March 2.
