If you’re going to a Disney park on vacation, you might be expecting lovely weather!
After all, the domestic Disney parks are located in California and Florida — states known for their sunshine. But if you’ve ever been to Florida in the summertime, you know that it rains nearly every day…and now it seems California is getting the same treatment in February. We’ve got a weather WARNING for those heading to Disneyland Resort soon!
Right now, Orange County, California is under a few weather advisories, mostly related to an influx of rain. The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Northwestern Orange County until about 11:30AM PT on Tuesday, February 6th.
There’s an expected rainfall rate of anywhere from half an inch to a full inch per hour, with 2 to 3 inches of rainfall having already come in the past 24 hours. In addition to the flood warning, there’s a flood advisory until 12PM PT and a flood watch until 6AM on Wednesday morning.
We’ve seen the Disneyland Resort parks close early this week due to weather problems, so if you’re visiting this week, expect some delays and possible closures in the parks. If you’re venturing into Disneyland, make sure to pack some rain gear and some extra patience!
We’ll continue to keep an eye on the weather in the coming days, so stay tuned to DFB for the latest. We’ve got you covered!
