Everything You Need To Know About Celestial Park at Universal’s Epic Universe

We don’t know about you, but we’re pretty darn excited about Universal Orlando’s new theme park, Epic Universe.

The new park will be opening sometime in 2025, but Universal just dropped a whole bunch of news about what we can expect when it does. New lands are on the way including Celestial Park, which will be the central hub of Epic Universe. What is Celestial Park? We’re so glad you asked.

Universal Orlando has officially revealed new details about Epic Universe, including new lands like Celestial Park. This area will be the central hub connecting the four other lands and it will also be the first one you step into once you enter the park.

We learned that Celestial Park is expected to include “rolling gardens, chasing waterways, and strolling pathways,” and is meant to mimic a natural park. Once you enter, you’ll be immersed in “lush living gardens nestled along shimmering waters surrounded by stunning architecture inspired by astronomical and mythological elements.”

And, while that sounds relaxing, Celestial Park will also be where visitors can “take flight across a shooting comet on a roller coaster adventure, dine at brand-new restaurants and cuisines, and shop for exclusive merchandise.”

There will be two full-service restaurants here. The first, Atlantic, is a full-service “surf and turf” restaurant set inside a Victorian aquarium with sweeping views of the land.

The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant will feature authentic Chinese, Japanese, and Thai food with neon dragons and lanterns surrounding you as you dine.

If you’re looking for some quick eats, The Oak & Star Tavern will serve up barbecue and Pizza Moon will feature — you guessed it — pizzas. And, if you’ve got a sweet tooth, Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets is where you’ll want to head.

In addition to eats, you’ll find Starfall Racers, a dual-launch roller coaster, with two vehicles that launch simultaneously and “race” each other! The coaster will reach speeds up to 62 miles per hour, and the track will reach up to 133 feet high. In total, there are 5,000 feet of track.

The ride vehicles look like comets, and they “race along an inverted crisscross, known as the ‘Celestial Spin’ in a dazzling display of blazing colors and ethereal music.” There is a 48-inch height requirement for this ride!

There is no height requirement for the Constellation Carousel, so the whole family can enjoy this ride. This “imaginative carousel” is themed to the constellations. The animals in the carousel include celestial lions, dragons, peacocks, and more.

Every animal rotates 360 degrees and lifts riders up to six feet in the air! Universal said, “Celestial music and color dazzle your senses as you whirl and twirl together across the Milky Way.”

There will also be an interactive wet-play area doubling as a giant compass rose for the whole park. The water display will include dancing crystal blue fountains and is capable of reaching up to 135 feet in the air. Several fountain shows will be performed to music here as well.

WHEW! These details are just making us wish 2025 would hurry up and get here already. We’ll be on the lookout for even more Epic Universe news, so stay tuned to DFB for more!
