CONFESSION TIME: These 5 Disney World Snacks Have Us Sneaking Back Into the Parks After Work

You know those snacks that you just can’t be trusted to keep in your house? The ones that are so tempting, you find yourself lying awake at midnight wondering if you should go sneak a bite?

Some things are just irresistible….

We feel that way about some Disney World snacks. Like, seriously — we would totally sneak into the parks for certain snacks. Not in an illegal way, of course, but we would totally sneak away from our fam for some peace, quiet, and alone time with said treats. Can’t relate? Well, you just haven’t met these snacks yet. Let’s go!

Are you wearing your stretchy pants? Good. Because we’re headed to grab our TOP 5 favorite Disney World snacks that we find simply irresistible.

We made this epic creation one time, and it’s still living rent-free in our minds

Of course, there are some well-known greats like Dole Whip, Cheshire Cat Tails, the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich, and sweet Maple PopcornHowever, the snacks that really blow us away and have us sneaking back into the parks time after time are the ones that are sometimes overlooked. Not on our watch.

Without further ado:

Gingerbread Salted Caramel Buttercream Cookie Sandwich – Karamel Kuche

Yeah, just the mere mention of its name is enough to get us to run right over to Karamell-Kuche in EPCOT. It’s so good that our team members often grab SEVERAL when they visit Karamell-Kuche, just so they can have one for later, too. This is the type of snack you hide in the back of the hotel fridge so that your family can’t steal it. No sharing, here, thanks!

Gingerbread Salted Caramel Buttercream Cookie Sandwich

We’re not alone in these feelings, though. The Gingerbread Salted Caramel Buttercream Cookie Sandwich has earned quite the following from seasoned Disney snack fans. This bad boy is worth a trip to the parks.

So creamy

The snack consists of two giant spiced gingerbread cookies, sandwiched together by some of the most delicious caramel and buttercream frosting. The spice of the gingerbread combined with the sweetness of the caramel and frosting makes for the PERFECT snack. No aspect of the treat is overwhelming.  In the past, this cookie could only be found during the holidays. It was SO popular, though, that the restaurant decided to make it part of the year-round menu. Thank goodness.

Mini Mango Pies – Yak & Yeti Local Foods

Disney didn’t know it at the time, but they almost had a riot on their hands. Many of us were deeply affected when the precious Mini Mango Pies were quietly taken off the menu at Yak and Yeti Local Foods Cafe in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Mini Mango Pie

These little slices of heaven feature a graham cracker crumble crust, with a mango-flavored pie filling. They are delicious! When they disappeared off menus, our hearts shattered. Tears fell. Mourning happened. (Okay, we’re being dramatic. But we were SO sad!) So, you can imagine how happy we were when it returned. We came up with ANY excuse to get to Animal Kingdom.

So delicious

The only regret we had about sneaking into the park to grab this one? That we didn’t grab seconds and thirds for later.

Cheeseburger Spring Rolls

If you’ve ever crossed over from Main Street to Adventureland, there’s a chance you’ve noticed a long line (and not for a ride or attraction!) near the land’s entrance.

Cheeseburger Spring Roll

These folks are waiting for the Spring Roll Cart. The cheeseburger spring rolls sold here are the highlight of a trip to Magic Kingdom for super-fans of the savory snack. These little guys are arguably Magic Kingdom’s most popular snack.

Cheeseburger Spring Rolls

They’re served as 2 cheeseburger-stuffed egg rolls filled with minced ground beef and gooey cheese and are the epitome of a flavor-packed snack. They’re crispy on the outside and give you the satisfaction of biting into a typical Chinese spring roll, but the inside tastes like the best burger you’ve ever had. If you spot us in the front of the line on your next visit, no, you didn’t. Actually, yes you did. There is absolutely no shame in our game when it comes to these bad boys.

Loaded Burnt Ends Fries

Next up, we’re headed to Regal Eagle Smokehouse in EPCOT for some FRIES. Now, hold your horses. Don’t start scrolling away yet. These ain’t your average French-fried taters.

Loaded burnt-end fries at Regal Eagle

Nosirree. These are the Loaded Burnt-end Fries. These iconic beauties really need no introduction because their presentation says all that needs to be said of them. But, just to get you droolin’ even more: they’re made of Seasoned French Fries with Burnt Ends, Macaroni & Cheese, and Beer-battered Onion Rings. Yes, this “snack” is more like a full meal in hiding. And it’s phenomenal.

These are loaded!

This is a snack that’s made as a heartier fixin’! There’s plenty here for a satisfying meal for one person or a heftier shareable snack for two! However, we totally don’t believe in sharing. Don’t do it. You won’t want to.

French Fries With Pulled Pork and Cheese

More fries? Yes. But once again, these ain’t your average fries! Next, we’re here to talk about the French Fries with Pulled Pork and Cheese from Flame Tree Barbecue in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

We love to see all that plastic cheese!

This snack has all our favorites in one — french fries topped with barbecue sauce, pulled pork, and cheddar cheese sauce. YES. PLASTIC CHEESE. These fries are so savory, tangy, and perfectly salty. Just one bite is almost more than our taste buds can handle at once — in the best way possible. This is easily a shareable snack, but don’t be surprised if a friendship or two is ruined because you just can’t bring yourself to share this snack. (But this is why we sneak into the parks for these. To AVOID SHARING.)

So. Good.

Well, there you have it. The mere mention of these snacks will have us MOVING MOUNTAINS to get to the Disney World parks to chow down. The secrets we would keep. The plans we would make. There’s nothing we wouldn’t do.
