The Walt Disney Company released their Q1 2024 earnings report on Wednesday and CEO Bob Iger appeared on CNBC to discuss the results. He was asked on air what his response to Elon Musk funding Gina Carano’s lawsuit against the company was and simply responded, “None.”
Iger’s one-word response (or lack thereof) comes one day after Carano filed a lawsuit against Disney and Lucasfilm demanding her job back after being fired from “The Mandalorian.”
Carano was fired after making controversial social media posts, including comparing being Republican in the modern U.S.A. to being Jewish during the Holocaust.
Elon Musk and X are funding Carano’s lawsuit. Musk has been firing back at Disney since November, when the company pulled advertising from X amid increased antisemitic content on the platform. Musk has gone on multiple tirades against Disney and Iger on X, including calling for the CEO to be fired.
