Why You Should AVOID Frontierland on January 26th

It’s still January, but a LOT has already changed in Disney World in 2024.

Park pass reservations are no longer required for most Disney World visitors. All-day park hopping is back (no more waiting until 2PM). The Disney Dining Plan has made a return. We’re seeing a LOT of progress on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Well, ANOTHER attraction is about to change in Disney World and it could affect your upcoming plans in Magic Kingdom.

Country Bear Jamboree in Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland is changing! The attraction is getting a big update: this year, the bears will be learning an all-new act! However, for that to happen, the attraction must close. That’s set to happen on January 26th. You know what that means? EVERYONE will be heading to Frontierland to see the OLD Country Bear Jamboree one final time.

We’ve seen this happen before. On Splash Mountain’s last day, Magic Kingdom was overrun with crowds of people who waited in line for HOURS to take one more ride on the attraction. So we expect to see the same with Country Bear Jamboree. So expect Frontierland to be extra busy!

It’s not like the bears are going anywhere, though. They’ll still be around, although they’ll be performing Disney songs in different genres of country music like rockabilly and bluegrass. The idea is that the show will pay tribute to the classic musical revues in Nashville. Disney is even working with Nashville musicians on the new act, which includes a new rendition of “Bare Necessities” from The Jungle Book.

The new show is expected to open in the summer of 2024, so they won’t be gone for long. We’ll be keeping an eye out for more updates about the new Country Bear Jamboree, so stay tuned to DFB for more!
