You’ve been counting down to this day ever since you bought your ticket and now, it’s finally here! In all of your excitement getting ready for Disney World’s After Hours events there’s one thing that we want to caution you on.

We’ve figured out that Disney After Hours events are a hidden gem that not many people actually take advantage of on their vacations. If the heat, sweat, exhaustion, and general crowds just really aren’t your idea of the perfect way to spend your day in the Disney World parks, these events were MADE for you. But watch out — there could be just one last sneaky thing that will try to ruin your experience.
Disney World is offering select nights for Disney After Hours Events in several of its theme parks. We recently enjoyed an almost-empty Disney’s Hollywood Studios at one of these events, which included rides and attractions throughout the park, complimentary snacks like popcorn and Mickey-shaped ice cream, and several rare characters.

While these events see a significant decrease in crowds and thus much lower wait times for the rides due to their limited capacity, they’re not without their challenges… and we were certainly met with one you’d least expect.
Uh oh!
We’re here to warn you about the not-so-obvious objection to your ultimate night of fun during these events. We very quickly learned upon arriving that choosing to do one of these events during the “winter” months (yes, even in Florida), the temperature can turn frigidly cold.
It may not be the first concern on your mind, but trust us — As soon as the sun sets for the evening, you’ll be wishing that you’d brought some warmer clothes to keep you cozy through the night.

Don’t get us wrong, we still had a BLAST at this event, but it would have been nice to have thought ahead and brought an extra pair of gloves, a thicker jacket or coat, and maybe even some headwear or a scarf for good measure.
Bring along a sweatshirt!
