2024 Deconstructed Dish booth

From January 12th to February 19th, the 2024 Festival of the Arts is happening in EPCOT and there’s so much to do. Not only can you try over a dozen food booths, but you can complete a food stroll, watch Broadway performers, and see artists create all types of work. We’re not gonna lie — it’s a LOT. But that’s why we’re here! Now it’s time to review the Deconstructed Dish and let you know if it’s worth your money. Let’s go!

Menu

Over at Deconstructed Dish, you’ll find several fan-favorite dishes with a twist! The food items are all returning this year, but there is a new non-alcoholic beverage that we’re going to try out.

Here’s a peek at the menu!

Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!

Eats

We were huge fans of this booth last year, so we’re excited to try it out again in 2024! Beginning with the Deconstructed BLT, it’s made with pork belly, onion bread pudding, watercress espuma, and tomato jam for $7.25. The biggest difference this year? There’s no soft-poached egg. The onion bread pudding was a new addition in 2023 and we’re glad to see it still a part of the dish!

This deconstructed dish looks a little different than it did last year, but don’t let that fool you — it’s still just as tasty. You can certainly enjoy everything separately, but putting it all together makes it even better. The tomato jam is still really sweet this year but it’s a great compliment to everything else.

We really enjoy this because it’s a fun sweet and savory item.

The other food item on this menu is a dessert — it’s the Deconstructed Key Lime Pie. You can grab it for $6.50 and it’s made with Flexible Key Lime Curd, “Key Lime” Mousse, Graham Cracker Cake, and Meringues. The dish is also part of the food stroll called The Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine!

This has also been a hit for us at past festivals, so how did it hold up this year? We thought it was a very fun treat! Having deconstructed food items is such a unique way to be served food, but we love how fun it is. The pie is very refreshing and the mousse is nice and light.

Overall it’s a pretty and delicious option. We’ll certainly be grabbing it again next year if it’s back!

This is delicious!

Drinks

As we mentioned above, there’s a new drink this year. It’s the Deconstructed Strawberry Mint Julep for $4.50 which is non-alcoholic (however you can add bourbon for $12). So is the new drink worth your money?

Deconstructed Strawberry Mint Julep

In our opinion, yes, it is worth the money! It’s a fun kids beverage or make it your own adult beverage with the bourbon. It has a strong mint flavor but in a really good way. The strawberry flavor is also very forward. By the time we got all of our pictures taken of it, it had melted, but that didn’t ruin it, so it deserves bonus points for that! It’s very refreshing. The sweetness of the strawberries and fresh mint complement each other wonderfully.

We would get this again!

The other drink here is the Wicked Weed Brewing Blank Canvas Belgian Blonde Witbier. You can get 6oz for $5.75 or 12oz for $9.75.

OVERALL

We continue to come back to this booth and that isn’t going to change! We really enjoy the uniqueness of the presentation (playing with your food is fun!). But it’s not all fun and games here, the flavors back it up. Don’t miss this booth on your stop at the festival!
