If you’re anything like us, then you always try to bring the magic and some extra rejuvenation home with you after your trip to Disney World.
Magic Kingdom
One of our favorite places to shop for relaxing souvenirs that remind us of Disney World is Basin White! Disney World has two of these shops — one in Disney Springs (which is just Basin) and one in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort (which is Basin White, the luxury version of the brand). Here, you can shop a seemingly endless array of body butters, soaps, bath bombs, sugar scrubs, and more! The best part is that a ton of the scents here are inspired by Disney Parks, characters, movies, and even the hotels. The shops closed in early January for refurbishment, but now, the one in the Grand Floridian is back open! Let’s go see what’s new!
We headed over to the Basin White shop that’s located in the Grand Floridian to check out the new changes. They were definitely subtle, but they made a BIG difference.
Basin is back open!
To start, let’s check out the sinks! Basin White has sinks so that customers can test soaps, body scrubs, and more. Previously, the underside of the sinks (pipes included) were exposed.

Now, the sinks have been revamped! The pipes have been hidden, and the counters don’t stick as far out into the walkway. It’s definitely much earlier to move around in there.

Next up, we noticed a new display! This display has some new slots for lip balms and smaller bath bombs. Everything is so organized and well-kept; the Type A Personality in us LOVED this change.

The typical table displays for body butters, soaps, and everything else now have a “marble” finish, and are lit from the inside, which is pretty cool. A Cast Member told us that the ones that were here previously were inlayed and very difficult to clean.

While these changes are definitely subtle, we do think they enhance the shop a bit more and allow more room to walk around. If you’ve been here before, then you know things can turn into a traffic jam pretty quickly.
