We were able to experience “An Encanto Celebration” on our recent Disney Magic sailing. Disney Cruise Line launched the celebration earlier this year after the Disney Magic had a short dry dock refurbishment.
An Encanto Celebration
“An Encanto Celebration” is described as an immersive experience designed to engage families through music, crafts, and storytelling. We learned how to make a maraca with spoons, an egg shaker, glue, and yarn.
Guests also have the opportunity to meet Mirabel and Bruno, and sing along with “Encanto” songs.
Colombian beers, sodas, cocktails, and mocktails are available during the celebration. We tried the Colombiana soda and “Tropical Fiesta” cocktail.
Colombiana La Nuestra – $3.50
The soda tastes just like Inca Kola, a.k.a. “The Taste of Peru,” which used to be available at Club Cool in EPCOT. Both sodas have a sweet, fruity flavor.
Tropical Fiesta – $9
White rum, sambuca, orange, and passionfruit juice
We didn’t like the cocktail. It was pre-mixed, so wasn’t fresh. It tasted watered down and, in our opinion, sambuca doesn’t belong in a tropical drink.

‘Encanto’ at Disney Parks
“Encanto” tells the story of the Madrigal family and, more specifically, Mirabel, who must fight to keep the proverbial and literal magic of her family alive. The film’s representation has increased throughout Walt Disney World Resort since its initially modest box office showing in late 2021. The film blossomed in popularity after debuting on the Disney+ streaming service that holiday season, with references to the movie growing throughout Walt Disney World parks as a result.
Mirabel Madrigal started appearing in the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade at Magic Kingdom in 2022, and a permanent meet and greet opened in the Fantasyland section of the park on September 15 of this year. Bruno Madrigal started appearing in the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade also on September 15 to coincide with the start of Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month. More “Encanto” characters could be coming to the resort in the near future, as Walt Disney World recently posted a casting call for a Luisa Madrigal performer.
“Encanto” theming appears on a bus wrap and on a Disney Skyliner car at Walt Disney World Resort, and additional representation may be coming in the future. Walt Disney Imagineering presented a potential Tropical Americas-themed overhaul of Dinoland U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Resort at Destination D23 2023, referencing “Encanto” as one of the land’s possible intellectual property tie-ins.
Mirabel has appeared at Disneyland Resort multiple times, including during the Viva Navidad holiday celebration at Disney California Adventure for the past few years. “Encanto” was represented in “World of Color – ONE” at Disney California Adventure and “Wondrous Journeys” at Disneyland. “Encanto” clips were added to the video loop in Frontierland’s Pioneer Mercantile. A “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” projection show has been performed periodically on the “it’s a small world” façade, and Bruno himself made his meet and greet debut at Oogie Boogie Bash in 2022.
