NEWS: Disney World’s Genie+ Prices Hit Record LOW for the Season

Okay, do you consider Genie+ a MUST in Disney World these days?

Genie+

So many of us do because, let’s face it — we hate waiting in long lines, and Genie+ lets us use those shorter Lightning Lanes at many rides. However, Genie+ can get SUPER pricey sometimes, especially on busier days in Disney World (that surge pricing is NO joke). But on some days, like on December 10th, the price of Genie+ outright shocks us — but for a different reason.

We are in what is usually Disney World’s busiest month, and we’ve seen the price of Genie+ hovering between $25 and $27 per day for Magic Kingdom and multiple parks, $18 and $19 for EPCOT, $22 and $24 for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and $16 and $17 for Disney’s Animal Kingdom. That’s pretty much been the full month of December so far. But today, something changed, and those prices went DOWN.

Things are getting busy in Disney World — or are they?

That’s right — the prices are lower. The Genie+ price for Magic Kingdom and multiple parks is $23, $17 for EPCOT, $21 for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and $15 for Animal Kingdom. When looking at our records, we’ve realized this is the LOWEST price for Genie+ in MONTHS. The last time Genie+ was this low was on October 6th.

So, if you had plans to be in Disney World today, this is an indication that crowds just really aren’t that bad, and if you still want to skip lines, you can do so at a lower cost. Look — even the standby wait times at Disney’s Hollywood Studios around noon are surprisingly low!

It’s pretty surprising to see the price of Genie+ drop on a weekend in December, but we have a feeling this will change the closer we get to Christmas and New Year’s. Of course, we’ll continue to keep an eye on Genie+ prices and let you know if and when anything changes. Stay tuned to DFB for more.

Whew. We know that planning a Disney World trip is A LOT. And this Genie+ thing can be so confusing – which is why we bring you posts like this so often.
