Disney’s New Pool Bar Will Sell $25 Adult Lunchables?!

There’s just something about visiting the Disney Parks that makes us feel like a kid again.

Disney California Adventure

Whether it be the elaborate theming filled with nods to our favorite childhood movies and characters, or the brief respite from reality, we love soaking in all the nostalgia and childlike glee that the Disney Parks bring us. Disneyland’s Pixar Place Hotel, a remodel of the former Paradise Pier Hotel (which is set to open on January 30th, 2024), brings all these feelings and more with nods to classic and new Pixar films. Here, you’ll find a rooftop pool bar, Small BytesWe got a glimpse at the menu; and if we’re interpreting it correctly, we think something perfectly nostalgic will be up for grabs…but at a cost!

Since guests are able to stay in the hotel and experience some of the amenities before the construction is complete, we were able to venture onto the roof and take a glimpse at some of the rooftop construction.

Pool area is still blocked off

While the poolside area was totally blocked off, we did get a glimpse of Small Bytes and THE MENU! We already knew that the food and bevi spot would serve up salads, wraps, cheese plates, and some signature beverages, but it was fun to see the specifics! And one thing in particular caught our eye.

We spy the menu…

An ADULT SNACKABLE! We’re going to take a guess and assume that this is going to be like a grown-up version of a Lunchable. I wish we knew what was included with this dish! Perhaps a fun cheese plate situation?

The menu

At $25, this Snackable situation had better be FANCY.

Ready for this place to OPEN!

Prices for the rest of the items look a little more in line with a typical Disney quick-service location, but they do seem a little high for grab and go eats (::cough:: $16 chicken tenders ::cough::). We’ll have to see if they live up to their pricetags!

Small Bytes is located right next to a Finding Nemo-themed pool area, complete with a 186-foot long Crush waterslide. Yes, like, Crush the sea turtle.

The whole area opens on January 30th, 2024.
