The Gingerbread Castle Display at Disney’s Contemporary Hotel Is Now OPEN!

It’s that time of year again, friends — the holidays are here!

Hollywood Studios

That means there are tons of decorations to admire at all the parks, holiday snacks and merchandise have arrived, and holiday parties are starting. But it also means that one of our favorite projects returns — the Contemporary Resort Gingerbread Display is now OPEN for guests to admire and buy treats!

That’s right, the massive gingerbread display is complete and ready for business. We were there on opening morning to check it out!

Gingerbread Display

This is a yearly tradition put on by many of Disney World’s hotels where guests can admire gigantic gingerbread houses (made entirely out of gingerbread!) and even buy treats from the shop inside.

The details

This is the 12th year of the display and the stunning Cinderella Castle look-alike features 12 hidden Mickeys, along with two large Mickey and Minnie sculptures. It’s a Mary Blair-inspired design, which is very fitting for the Contemporary!

There’s a hidden Mickey way up at the top!

Along with the opening of the gingerbread display, you can grab some special treats and some unique merchandise! Next to the registers, we spotted these Contemporary gingerbread display ornaments and pins.

If you’re in the mood for some snacks, there are quite a few choices! They’ve got classic choices like Peppermint Bark and gingerbread cookies, as well as more unique treats and a few that are exclusive to the Contemporary.

The Five-Legged Goat Sugar Cookie is a classic nod to a Contemporary icon…

…or you could go for something fancier and snag the Hot Chocolate Caramel Fudge Bar!

And of course, they have a selection of gingerbread shingles if you’re a traditionalist. There’s a little something for everyone!

The house will be around all season long, so be sure to stop by, take a picture, and grab some treats. As always, stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney news!
