While leaving Universal Orlando Resort during a recent visit, we spotted new signage posted for Volcano Bay featuring the water park’s new logo.

The new logo is displayed on new signage pointing in the direction of guest transportation to the water park on the first floor of the parking garage.

We found one of the signs in the security checkpoint area of the parking garage hub, and another sign by the moving walkways coming from the Spider-Man, E.T., and The Cat in the Hat side of the parking garage.

The updated iconography for Universal Orlando Resort was unveiled in March of this year. New logos were also introduced for Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, Universal Volcano Bay, and Universal CityWalk. An updated logo for the under-construction Epic Universe, Universal Orlando Resort’s third gate, which is set to open in 2025, was also unveiled.

Notably, the new logos introduced a subtle name change for Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Volcano Bay, with the word “Universal” losing its possessive nature (the names were previously stylized as “Universal’s Islands of Adventure” and “Universal’s Volcano Bay”).

This is what the previous logo for Volcano Bay looked like. It was a more playful take, while the newer version is a cleaner, more refined look that is cohesive with the rest of the resort.

The updated logos have made appearances elsewhere at the resort, including on popcorn buckets and bus loop signage.

The new branding was introduced as Universal Orlando Resort attempts to expand its offerings, with Universal Destinations & Experiences CEO Mark Woodbury saying in September that the resort aims to become “a full-week vacation” destination.
