‘Tis the season for festive decorations, and Universal Studios Florida is wasting no time in ringing in the holiday season. The park’s grand Christmas tree was recently erected in its New York section, with additional holiday decor being added to its iconic entry arches and throughout the Hollywood area of the park.
Universal Studios Florida Christmas Tree Installed
The holiday tree towers over the New York area of Universal Studios Florida. It’s located across from the R.H. Macy & Co. building facade, which itself is situated next to the Revenge of the Mummy attraction.
The dark tree sits on a red, gold, and white base, a colorway that’s repeated across the rest of the tree. The base of the tree contains snowflake imagery behind the curved red detailing.
The star-shaped tree topper sits on a similar base. The topper itself is primarily white with curved red detailing and a gold outline.
Ornaments are placed intermittently throughout the tree. They’re primarily red, gold, and silver, with a few white ornaments thrown into the mix.
This tree is largely identical to the decoration that went up in the same location of the park for last year’s holiday season.
Small Christmas trees have been added to the awning that protrudes from the R.H. Macy & Co. facade. Ornament-adorned garland has also been wrapped around the awning, with nearby facades receiving similar decorations.
Additional Universal Studios Florida Holiday Decorations
Holiday decorations have also been installed in the nearby Hollywood section of Universal Studios Florida, with Santa hats sitting atop the area’s lampposts perhaps being the most unique piece of festive decor.
That’s right, it’s officially Lamp Hat Season!
Holiday garland has also been added to several building facades in this area of the park.
Ornament-adorned wreaths have been added to several buildings.
The Hollywood section of the park hosts this year’s Holiday Tribute Store, which is currently offering previews for Universal Orlando Resort Annual Passholders. It will likely open to all guests in the coming days; you can check out our full tour of this year’s store here.
The Mel’s Drive-In dining location has also gotten in on the holiday spirit, as garland is now wrapped along the top of the restaurant’s windows and around the posts at the location’s exterior seating area.
Unique wreaths that fit the restaurant’s aesthetic and theme have also been added to select windows. Three 45 RPM records sit in the central opening of each wreath, almost giving each decoration a cartoonish face-like appearance.
Universal Studios Florida Arch Decor
Guests visiting Universal Studios Florida get to experience the holiday spirit immediately upon entering, as garland has been installed around the edges of the openings on the park’s iconic golden archway entrance.
Each piece of garland contains several ornaments.
Holiday decoration installation commenced at Universal Orlando Resort late last month. Festive decor went up in the Port of Entry section of Universal Islands of Adventure in late October, with additional decorations going up in Seuss Landing a few days later. Holiday decor was spotted at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at both Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida earlier this month.
