Disney World snacks can be just as iconic as rides and attractions.

One of our favorite things EVER is when our favorite Disney World snacks don’t even require us to get a park ticket. Yep, many of our favorite snacks can be found at Disney Springs — Disney World’s shopping, dining, and entertainment district! Yep, today’s iconic snack of choice takes us to a spooky corner of Disney Springs. Let’s go!

Gideon’s Bakehouse is a spooky sweets shop that features a dark academia theme and some amazingly delicious snacks. From giant, gooey cookies to just as gigantic slices of cake and cups of cold brew, Gideon’s has the supplies to kick any sweet tooth. The thing about Gideon’s? EVERYONE seems to want to join the party. And by the party, we mean the LINE.

Yep, the Gideon’s line is often so long that the shop utilizes a virtual queue system, much like the rides in the parks. Sometimes, this line can be super long. Like, HOURS long. Yes, you could be waiting in a virtual queue for up to four hours. This is honestly better than the alternative option of waiting in a physical line for cookies, which is hot and doesn’t allow you to do other things in the meantime.

On the weekends, the virtual queue tends to be longer, and once the virtual queue wait time is over, there’s still a long line before you reach the doors of the shop. THAT’S how much people love these cookies.

There are some days, though, when the virtual queue is unavailable. Then, you have to wait in the regular line, which is then even longer than usual, which, like we said, is hot and not much fun. However, it just depends on how badly you want that Gideon’s cookie! 

We just wanted to provide a reminder that if you’re planning on visiting Gideon’s soon, you might want to prepare yourself for a wait. We do this again and again, and we always find it worth it, but to each their own!
