The Ultimate Guide to Indiana Jones in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Fedora? Check. Whip? Check. Epic theme music composed by John Williams? Check! (You know the tune, so hum along… you know you want to, if you’re not already!)

Indiana Jones in Hollywood Studios

Why? Because it’s time to have an ADVENTURE. And when adventure calls, Indiana Jones answers. So today we’re checking out all the attractions — and even eats! — inspired by Indy himself in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Where to start? Well, if you’re looking for all things Indiana Jones, keep to Echo Lake where you’ll find his strongest presence.

Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!

The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! is what will most likely come to mind first when you think of where to celebrate the character of Indiana Jones in Hollywood Studios.

Indiana Jones in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

I mean, aside from the fact that Indiana Jones is literally in the name of this 30-minute production 😉 , the show brings to life some truly impressive behind the scenes feats such as those you’ll see in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Fight scenes, pyrotechnics, explosions, and leaps from buildings come together to showcase the amazing stunts and movie-making magic of classic action films.

There are moments you may not believe what’s happening right before your eyes!

Epic Eats

Need some epic eats to fuel your Indiana Jones-inspired adventure? Then stop by… wellEPIC EATS! This unassuming snack stand fits right in with the immediate area’s Indiana Jones theme (its just steps away from the Stunt Spectacular), and serves up soft-serve cones and floats along with some drink options for grown-ups, too.  But the eats that really make this stop epic are the loaded Funnel Cakes!

Epic Eats

Sure, you can grab a Funnel Cake simply topped with powdered sugar — nothin’ wrong with that. But this spot is best known for taking some of its vanilla soft-serve and presenting it atop a nice warm Funnel Cake and further adding your choice of strawberry topping or cookies n’ cream. You might even find a seasonal specialty Funnel Cake from time to time, like the Glimmer and Shimmer Funnel Cake that was available for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Disney World, or the Galactic Swirl Funnel Cake that sometimes makes appearances for the annual May the 4th Star Wars Day celebration.

These things are HUGE and — for $8.49 — are a seriously great snacking deal as a size that you can share and still get your fill.

Oh, and when you’re walking between the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! and Epic Eats, if you spot this sign…

PSSST… This is Disney’s way of telling you to Pull a Rope!

… be sure to PULL THAT ROPE, no matter what the sign says!

Oasis Canteen

Oasis Canteen serves up a small assortment of sweet mixed Indiana Jones-inspired drinks with also offers a full bar.

Oasis Canteen

Now, how are the cocktails Indiana Jones-themed? Well, it’s all in the name… or NAMES of these three bevvies: The Lost Jewel, Snake Alley, and Long Lost Island!

You can check out our review of each of these drinks here (note that two of the beverages include souvenir glow clubs with the purchase). While these three drinks are the staples on the menu, you may find a pleasant surprise from time to time here.

There’s no dedicated seating for this walk-up counter, but you’ll find some benches for relaxing right nearby surrounding the picturesque Echo Lake.

Indiana Jones Den of Destiny

To celebrate this summer’s release of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Disney World delivered the Indiana Jones: Den of Destiny to Hollywood Studios.

Indiana Jones — Den of Destiny

This pop-up bar is also located in the Echo Lake area, inside what was formerly the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost (located next door to — you guessed it! — the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!). But here’s the thing… you’ve only got until August 15th to check out this limited-time spot!

Nods to the film franchise can be spotted on vintage-style travel posters before you even step inside.

As we noted, this spot is a pop-up bar.

“Rare antiquities”

But it’s not only a bar… the Den of Destiny is also home to several “rare antiquities”:  a variety of props from the films!

Can’t forget the whip and hat!

Costumes are also on display.

It’s basically a mini-Indiana Jones museum!

You can also commemorate your visit with a photo opp.

Like Oasis Canteen, the Den of Destiny features a small menu of drinks: The Adventuress Margarita and The Weathered Fedora cocktails, and the non-alcoholic L’Atlantique Green Tea.

Cheers, Adventurers!

You can find our review of each of the sips here, and see even more of the props and costumes in our photo tour!

Indiana Jones Beyond Echo Lake…

Though our chat today revolves around Indiana Jones references in Echo Lake, there is another site that we’d love to point out that is a must-visit for Indy fans. But first, we’re starting with an unexpected nod to everyone’s favorite adventurer…

Did you know that — once upon a time — you could spot the Ark of the Covenant with your very own eyes? In the early days of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, you could find the Ark in Black Spire Outpost at Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities! Dok-Ondar’s is positively packed with little surprises for dedicated Star Wars fans.

But, if you have sharp eyes, you may have also spotted the Ark of the Covenant tucked away on the second floor.

Hey, Dok!

Alas, the Ark can no longer be seen in Galaxy’s Edge… but explorers looking for more Indy can still raise a glass at an Indiana Jones-themed bar in Disney Springs: Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar!

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar

Jock Lindsey is an oft-trusted pilot for Indiana Jones from the popular film franchise, and he found his waterfront hangout while searching for the Fountain of Youth with Indiana himself.

Jock Lindsey’s

Tales of the travels of Jock and Indiana are told through the decor (and the food and drinks!) of this uniquely themed lounge.

So, if you happen to miss the Den of Destiny in Hollywood Studios this summer, you can always enjoy a stop at Jock Lindsey’s and soak in the incredible Indiana Jones vibes!
