PHOTOS: Scare Zone Sets Arrive in Central Park for Halloween Horror Nights 32 at Universal Studios Florida

The opening night for Halloween Horror Nights 32 is creeping closer! As we eagerly await our next announcement, fans continue to speculate on what other houses and scare zones will be announced. Construction has started on the scare zone in Central Park and stone façades have been added over some of the scare zone trusses. The entrance is taking shape for this year’s Central Park scare zone for Halloween Horror Nights 32 at Universal Studios Florida. Crews have been preparing the park for the past few weeks, but now we have some actual set pieces in this section of the park.

The new stone elements are in the Central Park scare zone, which starts near Central Park Crepes and Cafe la Bamba. There’s a moss-covered fake stone column on the left side and a matching square structure directly across from it. Horror Night Nightmares’ last speculation map labeled this scare zone as “jungle,” and these could be old temple ruins in a jungle. We’re picking up on some “Legends of the Hidden Temple” vibes. Some reports also indicated this may be a swamp-themed scare zone.

The structure also appears to have fake lichen on it. It might be used as a small platform for scare actors in this scare zone. The Central Park area is full of tall trusses, but most of them haven’t been decorated yet. At this time, no scare zones have officially been announced, but we can see more scare zone construction happening in New York.

Meanwhile, speakers have been added to the Woodstock-inspired Music Fest ’69 stage in the park’s New York area. Horror Night Nightmares had this area labeled as a zodiac scare zone, but a “Vamp ’69” scare zone was pinned for Hollywood. The music fest could be a version of the latter. This is a recurring theme we’ve seen for HHN before, with “Vamp ’55” being featured during Halloween Horror Nights 26 and “Vamp ’85” at Halloween Horror Nights 28. ’55 was in Hollywood and ’85 was also in New York. With the popularity of those zones, we’re eagerly awaiting an official announcement for this area.

The Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary Tribute Store recently added a some clues indicating the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store will return to the New York area. This would mean the HHN Tribute Store would be in the area of the music festival scare zone and possibly be related. We’ll be watching and waiting for any signs of this year’s Tribute Store facade for Halloween Horror Nights.

Halloween Horror Nights 32 will take place on select nights from September 1 through November 4. So far, houses inspired by “Stranger Things,” “The Last of Us,” and “Chucky” have been confirmed. Stay tuned for more announcements, but for now, here are some of the latest rumors.

A rumored house for calls back to the origins of the infamous Jack the Clown, indicating he may return once again. Another rumor indicates there may be a house inspired by the defunct Dueling Dragons coaster. Another scare zone featured on speculation maps could be inspired by Krampus.

Though not officially confirmed, Death Eaters will appear in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley for the first time. In past years, Death Eaters have made appearances in Hogsmeade, so this is a first we’ll be seeing them in Diagon Alley and included in Florida’s Halloween Horror Nights event.
