Ahsoka Series

ahsoka trailer

Hayden Christensen will return in some form as Anakin Skywalker, a.k.a. Darth Vader, in “Star Wars: Ahsoka.” The series takes place after the fall of the Empire and subsequently Vader’s death, so he may appear in flashbacks or as a Force Ghost.

Anakin trained Ahsoka Tano and they last encountered each other in “Star Wars Rebels.” The live-action series will act as a sequel to the animated series, which ended with protagonist Ezra Bridger disappearing into hyperspace with Grand Admiral Thrawn.

ahsoka trailer sabine

As seen at the end of “Star Wars Rebels,” Ezra’s friends Ahsoka and Sabine Wren set off to find him. The final scene will be recreated in “Ahsoka” with Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka and Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine. Ezra, originally voiced by Taylor Gray, will be portrayed by Eman Esfandi.

When Ahsoka made her live-action debut in “The Mandalorian,” she was searching for Thrawn.

Hera Syndulla, captain of the “Star Wars Rebels” team, will be portrayed in live-action by Mary Elizabeth Winstead. She was originally voiced by Vanessa Marshall. Her droid, Chopper, will also appear in “Ahsoka,” and possibly her young son, Jacen, who only appeared briefly in the final moments of “Star Wars Rebels.”

Thrawn was voiced by Lars Mikkelsen, who returns as the villain in live-action. Wes Chatham will portray Thrawn’s right-hand man. David Tennant will return as the droid Huyang, who teaches Jedi younglings how to construct lightsabers.

“Ahsoka” season one will be eight episodes. It will have a two-episode premiere on Wednesday, August 23.

Don’t Make This Halloween Mistake in Disney World

Disney is starting to get seriously SPOOKY.

Time To Get Spooky!

We’ve seen characters carrying Halloween items, Halloween souvenirs in the park, and even spooktacular decorations in Magic Kingdom. Plus, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is on its way. But now, Disney has shared some other ways you’ll be able to celebrate the season while at Disney World!

If you think Magic Kingdom is the only place for Halloween fun, you’d be MISTAKEN. Sure, it’s home to cute pumpkin decorations and the Halloween party (along with lots of Halloween snacks), but there’s MORE to do in Disney World during Halloween time, and you won’t want to miss it.

Casey’s Corner Scarecrow

Why not plan a visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom park during the Halloween season? While there, be sure to stop by Conservation Station, specifically the Animation Experience.

From October 1st through October 31st, some Disney villains will be featured characters in these drawing classes. You might learn how to draw Bruce from “Finding Nemo;” Kaa and Shere Khan from “The Jungle Book;” Tick-Tock from “Peter Pan;” or Scar from “The Lion King.”

Animation Experience

But wait…there’s MORE! If you head to Disney Springs, you’ll be able to listen to live music on the Waterside Stage, which — for spooky season — will include performances by Squad Ghoul Friday through Sunday from September 29th to October 29th.

Waterside Stage

Plus, remember that Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit — a Halloween scavenger hunt — will be returning to EPCOT from September 29th through October 31st.

Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit 2022 (EPCOT)

And you can head to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for some fun with Mickey, Minnie, and their friends. They’ll all be dressed in their Halloween best at Hollywood & Vine for Minnie’s Halloween Dine. This is a Halloween-themed lunch/dinner character meal that runs from August 11th through November 4th.

Witch Minnie at Minnie’s Seasonal Dine at Hollywood & Vine

So, it just goes to show that while Magic Kingdom might be a big place for Halloween fun in Disney World, it isn’t the only place to go if you want to celebrate the season.

We’ll keep an eye out for more Halloween news and let you know what we find, so stay tuned!

Disney World Spoils a Big Holiday Secret

We’re already gearing up for the Halloween season in Disney World.

Halloween is HERE!

Even though Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party doesn’t start until August 11th, we’ve seen some fall-themed decorations arrive in Magic Kingdom early. On top of that, we’ve also started to see spooky season merchandise in the gift shops, so if you’re visiting for a summer trip, you might get to see a sneak peek of the Halloween happenings. But if things are starting early…when will they end?!

Disney has announced that Magic Kingdom should be fully decorated for fall from August 10th through November 1st, 2023. This means that by the 10th, we should have all the pumpkins, scarecrows, and festive decorations in the gift shops on Main Street, U.S.A.

Halloween decorations

But this also tells us when the Halloween celebrations will END! In the past, we’ve seen Disney start swapping over from Halloween to Christmas on November 1st, but with the final Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party taking place on November 1st, it makes sense that Disney would have to wait a little bit longer this year.

The scarecrows!

Why is this a SPOILER? Well, usually, Disney doesn’t “officially” share the exact date when Halloween decorations will come down (or when they’ll all be up for that matter). We know that Halloween decorations typically start appearing in early August, but again we usually don’t get a date by which they’ll all be up. And typically, Disney does take down the Halloween fun and put up the first Holiday decorations in Magic Kingdom as soon as Halloween is over. But the “end” of the Halloween decor and the start of the Holiday decor doesn’t usually get more “officially” advertised.

Ready to play some tunes

Now, Disney’s announcement is not a full guarantee that Disney will swap things over immediately from Halloween to the Holidays on November 2nd — plans can change. But it is a good indication of when the Halloween decorations should come down and when the decorations that mark the start of the holly jolly season could appear in Magic Kingdom.

Until then, we can’t wait to have some not-so-spooky fun at Disney World! Stay tuned to DFB for all the Halloween updates and news.

NEW Additions Announced for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World

Our ghoulish friends are ready to out to celebrate Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. It’s not every day you get to see those Haunted Mansion ghosts outside the famous attraction, but even ghosts love the Boo to You Halloween parade!

Halloween is HERE!

Between the rare character appearances, special Halloween treats, and beloved nighttime parade, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a POPULAR event — and Disney just announced new details about this year’s event!

Are you ready for spooky season?! We certainly are — and even more so now that Disney has dropped more details about what we can expect!

First, Adventureland will be taken over by “a spirited pirate band and their crew,” and you’ll have to listen out for sea shanties while pirates roam around retelling old tales from the sea.

Pirates of the Caribbean

Before heading up Mickey’s Boo To You Halloween Parade, Max Goof and his Powerline party pals will be at new pop-up parties throughout the park.

It’s Max Goof as POWERLINE!

Not only that, but the Seven Dwarfs are returning to the party, and Ursula, Cruella de Vil, the Queen of Hearts, and the Sanderson Sisters (Minnie, Daisy, and Clarabelle) will be in the Boo To You Parade!

Boo To You

New merch will be rolling in as well, including a Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular Women’s Tee and a glow-in-the-dark Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Adult Tee and Youth Tee.
