Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will be utilizing virtual queue during the Disney Jollywood Nights event. This does not impact operating procedures during normal operating hours, during which the stand-by line will continue to be available.
Virtual Queue for Rise of the Resistance
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is a trackless dark ride found at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, with elements of motion simulation, drops, and walk-through experiences.
Virtual Queue is free and dispensed twice each day — once at 7 a.m. (which you can book remotely with a valid park reservation through the My Disney Experience app) and again at 1 p.m. (all guests must be physically in the park at this time). Guests are placed in boarding groups, and updated throughout the day on which groups are being called.
Since this holiday event will take place in the evening, it’s unclear when the virtual queue spots will be given out, or if there will only be one opportunity to join.
Disney Jollywood Nights
Disney has officially announced the rumored hard-ticket holiday event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney Jollywood Nights.
“It’s a holiday vibe like you’ve never felt before,” Disney states. “Sights of sparkling décor, sounds of modern beats over classic holiday songs, tastes of craft cocktails and decadent dishes. It’s nostalgic, and it’s glitz and glam galore. Get ready to dress in your holiday glam best or festive flair, dance the night away to merry mashups, indulge in divine treats and bubbling spirits, and snap selfies with iconic characters during this new festive event.”
Jollywood Nights is a separately ticketed event that will take place from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on select nights between November 11 and December 20, 2023. It is limited in capacity. Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels, and Shades of Green can buy tickets starting June 29. Tickets may be purchased by all guests starting July 6 on the Walt Disney World website. Ticket prices will range from $159 – $179 per person. Party dates are:
- November: 11,18, 20, 27, 29
- December: 4, 6,16,18, 20
Aside from Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, other attractions open after hours will include Slinky Dog Dash, Rock N’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
