You know, there aren’t very many places where we would ENJOY being called a “foolish mortal,” but in Disney World, we take it as a compliment. What can we say — we have a soft spot for those grim-grinning ghosts in the Haunted Mansion!

For all our Haunted Mansion fans that know the detailed backstory of the mansion and can recite the entire stretching room monologue, we’re back today to share some happy news you may have forgotten!
Just recently, the Disney Parks TikTok account shared a brief video on the history of the famous Hatbox Ghost. If you’re unfamiliar, the Hatbox Ghost currently resides in Disneyland Resort’s Haunted Mansion attraction (which many argue is superior to its Disney World counterpart, but that’s a whole discussion for another day). He’s a tricky fellow with a pretty neat effect!

Soon, the legendary Hatbox Ghost will come to the East Coast! Back in 2022, at Disney’s big D23 event, Disney shared that the Hatbox Ghost will be materializing in Disney World this year!
His head appears and disappears!
That’s right — a little detail from the Disneyland Haunted Mansion will finally arrive in Disney World! Now if only the Florida attraction would get a Nightmare Before Christmas holiday makeover, too. We still don’t have a specific debut date quite yet, but we know that he’s coming to Disney World sometime this year!
