The Boneyard at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Closing for Refurbishment in May

The Boneyard in DinoLand U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be closed for refurbishment beginning May 1. It’s scheduled to reopen in mid-June.

Though DinoLand U.S.A. is expected to someday be demolished and replaced with a “Moana” and “Zootopia” land, this is only a temporary closure for The Boneyard.

The Walt Disney World calendar still lists The Boneyard as open in May, but this will likely change to reflect the refurbishment soon.

The Boneyard is a play area for kids aged 10 and under. There are rope bridges, caves, slides, and fossils to excavate.

There is a shaded seating area with fans for adults.
