Our Honest Thoughts on EPCOT’s NEWEST Eats

EPCOT has some incredible snacks, but you might just be missing out on some seriously incredible treats.

Farmer’s Feast Booth 2023

Right now, the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is going on and it features tons of food booths with all kinds of great eats. We’ve shared our FAVORITE picks here, but one thing you might not realize is that one of the booths — EPCOT Farmers Feast — does NOT serve the same menu throughout the festival. Though it began with one menu, it has now shifted to its Springtime offerings. If you walk past this booth thinking it’s still serving the same eats from before, you’ll be making a HUGE mistake.

Menu

From April 9th through May 20th, Farmers Feast will be serving up its Springtime Menu with eats that are DIFFERENT than those that first hit the booth in early March.

This Springtime Menu features a few returning dishes, as well as the NEW Grilled Swordfish.

Plus, while we were there we also spotted a special Strawberry-Rhubarb Cocktail available too.

So, let’s dive into the eats and drinks to see what you might want to try!

Eats

First up on the eats, we have the returning Grilled Vegetable Bruschetta with marinated peppers, zucchini, squash, artichokes, goat cheese, and balsamic glaze on grilled ciabatta. This is priced at $5.

In 2022, we thought this was absolutely amazing. The flavors were fresh and bright, with just the right balance of zing and creaminess. So how did it hold up in 2023?

Bruschetta

Well, this year it was a WINNER. We loved…well…everything! The vegetables were packed with flavor, the ciabatta was really nicely toasted, and the portion size was great. We really had no complaints about this one.

YUM

If you love balsamic, ciabatta, and lots of roasted veggies, do NOT skip this one. The balsamic glaze is strong though, so stay away if you don’t love that or artichokes.

Such a Great Bite

Next up, we have the NEW Grilled Swordfish with crushed fingerling potatoes, pea and mint purée, grilled asparagus, and lemon beurre Blanc. This is more expensive, priced at $8.25.

Swordfish Time

The swordfish had a lot of flavor (it wasn’t bland like some dishes can be), which was nice. And there was a strong lemon-y tang to it. Plus, the potatoes were tender and the asparagus was cooked really well (not too mushy and not too hard). We couldn’t really taste any mint in that puree, but if you’re not a big mint fan that might not be a bad thing.

Another Look

One thing we do want to point out is that while the potatoes were described as being “crushed” they were not really crushed for us. That didn’t really impact the dish as a whole, but it’s something to note. Unfortunately, the potatoes were also a little bland when eaten on their own, so consider really mixing them up with the other stuff on the plate. For the price, the portion size is also a little bit on the smaller side. It filled us up (along with the other items), but it’s on the pricier side so keep that in mind.

Swordfish

Overall, if you like fish or a strong lemon flavor, give this a try. But if you aren’t a fan of eating things from under the sea, or you don’t like peas or lemon, stay away.

Finally, we end our eats with the returning Strawberry Rhubarb Upside-down Cake with crème fraîche whipped cream. This is priced at $4.75.

In 2022, this was a hit for us. The flavors were fresh and not overly sweet, plus it was moist and had a nice added crunch from the bottom. So how did it do this year?

Strawberry Rhubarb Cake

Well, we’re happy to say it delivered AGAIN.

SO GOOD

This was a great portion size for the price, and the flavor was AMAZING. That strawberry flavor really came through and the cake was once again moist and not overly sweet.

A Look Inside

This is another one we really didn’t have any complaints about.

Cake

If you like fruity desserts, strawberries, and strawberry shortcake, we think you’ll really enjoy this!

Drinks

Finally, we come to the drinks. Throughout the entire Festival, this booth serves up the Collective Arts Brewing Blueberry & Elderberry Sparkling Hard Tea priced at $5.50 for 6 oz. and $9.50 for 12 oz.

You can also get the Ghost Mary here, which is a Translucent Bloody Mary with Boyd & Blair Cucumber Vodka, tomato water, horseradish, celery salt, and a hint of pepper, priced at $11.50. Click here to see our full review of that.

But on this visit, we saw that the booth also had another drink available — the Strawberry-Rhubarb Cocktail. This is made with Helix 7 Vodka, Gifford Rhubarb Liqueur, Monin Strawberry, and Lemonade. It’s priced at $11.50.

Our Drink

This was a really refreshing drink — perfect for a hot Florida day! It mainly tasted like strawberry lemonade, which isn’t really a bad thing.

Just be warned, the cocktail we got was STRONG and you could really taste the vodka, so be prepared for that.

Would You Give It a Try?

Still, if you like fruity cocktails, this might be a great one for you! And that brings us to the end of this booth’s seasonal menu.

Overall

Overall, the Springtime Menu at Farmers Feast is a delight. The Grilled Vegetable Bruschetta is amazing, the Strawberry Rhubarb Cake is absolutely delicious, and the drink is nice and refreshing.

A Great Booth

The fish was great too but the potatoes served with it could have used more seasoning and it was a little small for the price. Still, we think this booth as a whole is a great one to stop by if you want flavorful, refreshing, and tasty eats (and a drink!).

Just remember that this Springtime Menu won’t last long! It’ll only be around through May 20th. On May 21st, this booth switches menus AGAIN — moving into a Summer Solstice menu until the end of the Festival (July 5th, 2023).
