Mickey’s Toontown has reopened after a year of refurbishment with a lot of changes. And as part of the reimagining, a new snack stand has come to town called Café Daisy. So naturally we stopped in to try everything they have on offer!
Café Daisy

Café Daisy is located next to Good Boy! Grocers, near the CenTOONial Fountain and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

There are separate windows for mobile order pick up.

Tables with umbrellas and chairs are set up right by the restaurant.
Menu

The Lunch/Dinner menu will be served most days from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., fireworks permitting. After the land reopens post-fireworks, they will be serving a “Late Night Dining” menu, which is just the donuts and drinks.
You can add a side of Chili-Cheese Sauce for $3.99 or a side of Potato Chips for $4.49.

For Grown Ups
Pepperoni Pizza Flop-Over – $10.49
Pepperoni, Mozzarella, and Provolone with Tomato Sauce

It’s not the worst counter service pizza, but we like Alien Pizza Planet better. There’s nothing terribly wrong with it, and the dough is soft and fresh, but the seasoning is overpowering. They overdid it with the parmesan, and the pepper leaves a burning aftertaste. The pepperoni is a nice balance of spicy, though.
Cheesy Pizza Flop-Over – $9.99
Mozzarella and Provolone with Tomato Sauce

These are very dough-heavy and will be filling. It was interesting that this had a lot more cheese than the pepperoni pizza. Usually, the pizzas are the same, and then they just throw pepperoni on top. Overall, the red sauce is not great. We don’t recommend these, but parents with picky kids will likely find them a quick and easy option.
Daisy’s Dressed-Up Dog – $14.49
All-beef Foot-long with Chili-Cheese Sauce, Mac & Cheese, and Parmesan Potato Crispies, with House-made Chips

The hot dog casing was tough and chewy. It’s a thinner, longer link and tastes more like a supersized Slim Jim.

In a park where you can get Walt’s Chili, you can’t help but compare the quality. This is not Walt’s Chili. It’s more like canned. The mac & cheese is very basic, like the kind you microwave in a single serving at home.
The chips are great, but get them as a side.
Spring Garden Wrap – $12.99
Romaine and Quinoa Wrap with creamy Lemon Dressing and Toasted Pumpkin Seeds, with House-made Chips

This is hefty and makes for a nice, refreshing option.

The pita is too thick and kind of chalky. There’s too much of it. It’s a shame because the interior ingredients are really good. The fresh dressing is perfect.

This was our favorite entrée. We would get this again (and we hope the pita improves).
Something Xtra!
Toontown ‘Tater Chips – $7.49
House-made Potato Chips with Chili-Cheese Sauce

The chili cheese sauce works better with the chips alone rather than on the hot dog.

There are so many good snacks at Disneyland that this does not make our list. They’re worth a try, but we wouldn’t come back for more.
For Kids!
Minnie’s Mini Corn Dogs – $7.99
Bite-Size Corn Dogs served with a Cuties® Mandarin Orange, Applesauce, and choice of Small DASANI® Water or small Lowfat Milk

We only got one item from the kids’ menu, and we chose corn dog nuggets because we expect they will be a popular choice.

They’re salty and fried. Not quite as good as there ones at Magic Kingdom, but there’s nothing wrong with them.

They hit the spot and will make a solid choice for a corn dog fan.
Something Sweet!
Daisy’s Goody-Goody Donuts – $5.99
House-made Mini-Donuts with Cinnamon Sugar

These mini donuts are more than $1 each.

They’re not fresh. They’re okay. They meet the need for sweet if that’s what you’re craving.
Something to Drink

Picnic Time Watermelon Lemonade – $6.49
Minute Maid® Zero Sugar Lemonade with Watermelon Premium Syrup and Watermelon Gummies

Our gummies sank right away. It’s not syrupy, but you can taste the sugar for sure. It’s got a strong artificial watermelon flavor and was very refreshing. We liked this.
Granny Goof’s Garden Sweet Tea – $6.49
Gold Peak® Sweet Iced Tea with Honey-Mango Premium Syrup and Mango flavor-filled Spheres

The mango boba quite literally explodes in your mouth. They are so tart and sweet, but it’s delicious. If you don’t like strong mango, though, you’ll want to pass on this.
Specialty Cold Brrr-ew – $6.29
Joffrey’s Coffee Cold Brew Caramel Mudslide with Sea Salt-Carmel-Toffee Sauce, topped with Whipped Cream

This is a particularly good blend of Joffrey’s, and it’s on the strong side. You get the coffee on the back end, a hint to balance perfectly with the mocha mudslide.

It falls between black coffee and a slightly sweetened brew; it’s very robust. We would drink this every morning!
Overall
The dishes here have always been basic, and they’ve improved on basic a little. These venues are not going to be a destination, they’re here to fill a need. Families with young kids who will come back here and play for hours need a place to pick up easy, simple snacks, and this meets that need.
Though the food is not a destination, we’d make a trip just for the Specialty Cold Brrr-ew.
