WARNING: Record High Temperatures Are Coming to Disney World

The one thing about the weather at Disney World is that it’s unpredictable.

Hot weather is coming to Disney World soon!

We’ve seen hurricanes and heavy rain. We’ve seen weather cold enough to wear a parka in the parks. We’ve also seen extremely hot weather — and that’s something we’ll be preparing for again soon because Disney World is set to see record-high temperatures this week.

According to WESH Meteorologist Eric Burris, next week will see record-high temperatures in Orlando. On Thursday, the temperature is supposed to reach 91 degrees, which is a bit hot for February!

That might not seem TOO warm, but it certainly is for this time of the year and if the day is humid (as many Florida days are), it will feel a LOT hotter. So if you’re headed to Disney World, pack accordingly. You’ll also need to make sure you think about the heat as you go about that hot day in the parks.

Make sure you pack for hot weather

So what should you pack? Well, sunblock is a MUST for Florida, even when it’s NOT super hot out. That sun can be brutal, even in the winter season. You will also want to keep a water bottle in your day bag — hydrating will help you stay more comfortable (and prevent heat stroke). There are water bottle refill stations throughout the parks, and you can also ask for a free cup of water at many quick service locations.

Drink lots of water while you’re at Disney World!

Other items you might find helpful during hot weather are cooling towels and mini fans. More importantly, be sure to take breaks! You might even want to consider going back to the hotel during the hottest part of the day and hitting the pool for a cool-off swim or your air-conditioned room for a nap.
